QuoteSleepy City QuoteCaptainchaos got a boot of this gig and tbh if anyones too loud and masssssivly overplaying on that boot its a certain R.Wood. Sadly this is most apparent when Mick Taylor steps on stage? almost as if R.Wood wasn't pleased he was there... Funnily enough i read about him being too loud and playing too much in R.Wood's biography (sorry autobiography), makes you

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Quoteskipstone I posted one a while back that included tracks held over for Exile. It makes Sticky bizarrely better in terms of having more that are great tunes. Skip, do you still have that track list? I second that!

Hello there I'm a little rusty on this one.. I read Ronnie Wood's book and hadn't known Mick Taylor had played again with The Stone's in the mid 1980's After a little searching i found a boot of this - one thing tho, if anyone's playing too much on here as Ronnie alludes (M.Taylor) too, I'd point right at Mr Wood from listening the playback tbh... Got this album after hearing it had The Stones, plus Mick Taylor as the backing band. the album though sounds pretty 80s in its production? I've read a few things on this before and it defo sounded an eventful album in the making with a looooooong gestation period. i got so was hopeful it'd sound good but its hard to get past the sound of it and into the playing proper. are the

Gene Clark - Lady of The North Flying high above the clouds We lay in the grassy meadow The earth was like a pillow For our dreams Trials never entered into any conversation That was the relation of our dreams As a change in the wind must come Over the mountain And the seasons roll under the sun Passing the shadows of our dreams great song!

Personally I've always loved the Taylor/Richards 71-73 era Live stuff and seen it as the pinnacle Live Stones. I went to a mates last night though and heard 'Ruby Tuesday' on a live boot with Brian Jones playing Mellatron and its ammmmmazing! really really good Some of the other tunes were amazing and i can appreciate the weaving/playing off each other approach so much more t

Quoteab Hardly, I don't get offended if someone calls out Jagger for anything. The man's hardly infallible. Don McLean's just lame, by any standard. Don Mclean is soooo boring, a master of sterile lamentable ditties. Hardly what a stones site needs tbh but heyho lets get back to picking his words apart and guessing the hidden meaning yawn..

Quote71Tele Quotetreaclefingers This is truly a great tune. With regards to the "American Pie", stones-"bashing", who cares. I doubt the Stones did in the first place, and now, they probably don't even remember that Jack Flash sat on a candlestick. As long as the song is good, which it is great, let's not get our knickers in a twist. Not twisting knickers re

If Keiths got stiff little fingers/arthritis? then i recon it'd be convenient to get Mick Taylor playing a spot on the tours with them, that way Mick and Ronny could double up/swop and keith can leg it around the stage looking cool - and we get SWAY and CYHMK played o yeah!!!! best bits for me at gigs is when they moved to the little stage in the crowd, anyone every get any boots of this
