The unbiased answer would have to be Phil Collins Face Value (In the air tonight) or something like that. U2:s October was a great album. But TY was considered a great album by everyone wasnt it. An album you had to have. Not just the fans. The last great album by the Stones.

One of the best rock songs from that era and one of their best ever. Listen to the backing tracks minus vocals. That's the sound and feel of a perfect rhythm section. Bill was always great but something happened around Hot Stuff. Maybe it's disco and Wyman being a dancer in his head.

Quotewith sssoul wasn't that the HOF where a journalist seated at Keith's table reported that Keith was perfectly sober & articulate before and after that performance? ie that the whole thing was very much a performance That sounds right. Keith seems a bit nervous, that's all.

+1 No doubt there is some truth in that psycho analysis...but then again don't we all tell our story in such a way and describe those we interact with in a certain way to make ourselves look/feel better? Yeah but we're not surrounded by a staff, cameras, yes-men and fans. And we dont get paid. As years go by you change opinions about people, you probably reflect on your life,

What seems important to Keith is his memories of Anita, what once was, what he meant to others, his "demons", the drugs, the lure of heroin and music. Keith lives within the boundaries of the old dynamics. I dont think Mick really cares about Keith or his opinions. To Mick he is probably like an old cousin you have to meet twice every year and not like a long lost brother. I dont th

Thanks Doxa, always a pleasure to read your posts including the heated debate with Bärs. Both had valid points. Maybe the difference lies in how Mick, Keith and Brian listen(ed) to music. Maybe Mick listens to others and interprets (with great results) while Keith rests his head on the guitar and "becomes the tone". This is the Keith of Let it Bleed ( Midnight Rambler), Dance little
