Sometimes I'd rather they open the vault than the doors to a studio LOL. I don't need a 60 something Keith Richards singing something like "Come on honey, bare your breasts and make me feel at home" again!

I'm not fond of the idea of iTunes getting to release extra tracks - we seem to get penalized for wanting to buy old fashioned CD's.

There were a couple nice tour posters for Italy 1982 - I have one but it's in very bad shape. Does anyone have a good scan - I'd like to have one as a momento.

QuoteNedKelly I do not think DW is the greatest effort by the Stones either, but it still puzzles me the fact that it is doomed here on this forum. A lot of people here seems to hate Jaggers solo stuff and his contributions to Stones albums. Still, when they get an album where Keith was in charge of a lot of the work, they say that it's still not good enough. A big contradiction to me. Or, i

Quoteresotele I would be happy and enthusiastic with - a live-anthology 1962 - 1967 (multi cd-set with bonus dvd) - a live-anthology 1969 - 1973 (multi cd-set with bonus dvd) - a live anthology 1975 - 1982 (multi cd-set with bonus dvd) - a live-anthology 1983 - 2007 (cd-ep, no dvd) - a new record of blues, soul and rocksongs - and a never ending tour through theaters, clubs, bars, pla

The new Eddie Vedder live DVD had me digging into the Pearl Jam catalog for their more acoustic style stuff. Also enjoyed the new Paul Simon Disc

QuoteLynd8 I too have seen Paul three times, and I think is the only Artist I've been to see three times. Each time has been quite a different experience and the man just doesn't put a bad show on and excepting the Capeman debacle and the One trick Pony movie/soundtrack, all of his Cd's are great too. He had a throat infection that week and told the crowd that too, but he still

Shortly after ABB came out I made a compilation CD that came out pretty cool - I tried to pick one track from each year from 1964 all the way up to present and then had to delete a few to have it fit, but it was fun to hear the changes in their music chronologically.

It took me a few listens but I really like the Paul Simon CD "So Beautiful or So What". I bought Eddie Vedder's CD "Ukele Songs" and his live DVD "Water on Road" the same day and the DVD is incredible and I made my own CD out of that and that would be my favorite CD so far this year LOL

I would really like to hear this one on the "next" tour! Some of those classic 60's tunes not performed for 30 years would be cool. She's A Rainbow got played once or twice a few years back as did "Heart of Stone" but they should be played more often. I wonder if they could pull off "Out Of Time"??

Overall I was pretty happy with the whole project, I enjoyed the bonus tracks and played that bonus disc quite a bit last year. The DVD was a bit weak but I still enjoyed it and did watch it at least twice. Actual real video and more photos would have been better but if it doesn't exist, what they put out sort of worked. I am really looking forward to a Some Girls Deluxe - there are some

Wow, I just watched the new Eddie Vedder live DVD called "Water On Road". It's been out about a week, this is really a great DVD. Eddie plays a bunch of songs from "Into The Wild" and some cool covers and such - pick this up if you are a fan. It's largely acoustic but some electric also, but almost completely solo show. I really enjoyed it. I'd like to see

This truly is great news. Pete's demos are amazing, a few from Quad have leaked out over the years and they are awesome. The definitive best sounding version is currently the Japanese edition of the '96 remaster.

I only knew a few Bo songs until a few years ago and I picked up the Chess Boxed (2CD's) set. I highly recommend this set - it might be a little hard to find but well worth it! Bo really had some pretty cool stuff. For those interested, Hipo-Select has released a few newer boxed sets that are also 2 CD's each and are covering his complete 50's output and early 60's.

I for one am happy he didn't die before he got old. In most ways The Who never measured up to the Stones, but Pete was/is an amazing and innovative musician. The "Who's Next" songs from '71 were light years ahead for their time and still sound amazing - true definition of classics. Quadrophenia and Tommy obviously were great too and ambitious. The Who also had some pr

Quotepmk251 What a great, fun moment! Good for her, kudos to Simon. BTW: I think his latest album is a mature and inspired work. I just picked this CD up this weekend and it's really good. He's got this song called "The Afterlife" pretty cool - song about what happens after you die - you got to wait in line and such -funny.
