Well, as Churchhill once said, and I'm paraphrasing: when you are young and you are not liberal then you have no heart, when you are older and you are not conservative then you have no brain . . .

QuoteSam Spade Here ya go He used the belt in '75 TOTA starts at 4:43 Hey I love '75 as much as anyone else, but by 1975, the Rambler, for me, had lost its mytstic. Maybe its the music, the singing, the personel, the times, etc. maybe its all the above . . . In 1969 through 1973 there was a bit a danger to it . . .

QuoteCafaro I've never seen any MR footage from before the 72 tour. The 69/70 versions would be great to see as they seemed much tighter musically. More intense as well

Nice ukelele song, nice touch of putting Clerence (Clemons) on his uke . . . Some of you may know I'm a huge PJ guy, but I really don't like the new uke album, but I have to admit I prefer Eddie doing a uke album as opposed to a regular solo album that in essence would probably sound like a PJ album. I think there was much critique over some of the Stones solo efforts, kinda sounds

Quoteliddas QuoteNorthShoreBlues2 Right on C! . . . I hear you. You should, however, give Yield another chance, it probably my favorite if I had to choose; many in the PJ scene and many in the rock press consider Yield to be their one of their best. I think it definaly is outside first 2; its like their best "mature" album . . . keep on rockin in the free world bro and I hope they c

Quotedcba "that's cool you dont like the band, but they never did a cover of Prodigal Son" Yep you're right! "Fortunate Son" was the song. Great version (I love Fogerty btw) but that was about the only good thing on that LONG 2-dvd set. Yep your're right! it was Fortunate Son; forgot about that one, good rockin version . . .

Quotefilstan Well done Bruins. Boston should be proud. Ah yes, the Canuckleheads. This team will be remembered for quite a long time. The way they played brilliantly at times, lost control often of their emotions to the detriment of their goal to win the cup. The fans in Vancouver are a strange bunch. A real contradiction. Optimistic yet very paranoid. Blame the refs, NHL conspiracy supporting th

QuoteBluzDude NSB2 - any idea where I can find the State College bootleg? Can't find it on the PJ website . just register, takes minutes . . . and download away ><; I think there are about 700 PJ bootlegs on this site. 20% soundboards from 1991-1998; then from 2000- to present about 95% soundboards. Caveat: all MP3 if you are looking for the physical bootleg; check out a

Quotedcba I once bought a PJ dvd (NYC'03 iirc). It was in the bargain bin & the only song I liked was... the cover of "Prodigal Son". So PJ is a mystery to me. Probably the least talented band out of Seattle... apart from Nirvana. thats cool you dont like the band, but they never did a cover of Prodical Son; on that DVD off the top of my head, the covers were: Gimme s

I missed the first concert in Milano, not the second, June 1992: blown away once again!! AND Black was the highlight of both album and concert. Avidly loved the follow up VS. but lost th

Thats so funny, I have a friend who has seen them 7 times and no Black, hahahahaha, oh man that sucks; I've seen Black many times and it never fails you always catch someone crying PJ is playing Vancouver in September . . .

I saw another thread last year about the stones being on SiriusXm radio for a short while basically promoting Bigger Bang . . . I recently bought a car and got a 3 month free trial of Xm radio and I'm loving it! Its so much fun! There are more than 20 stations devoted to rock music. Some of it is not my taste but alot of it is great. The only "bands" that presently have channels

Indeed. He is doing a small U.S. tour to promote his new ukelele album. Its a pretty good collection of ukelele songs. I enjoy it, although I don't think its that great. Even Vedder said something like "well its like painting with one color", for me it gets a little boring. Rumor has it that Pearl Jam just finished recording an album.
