I would take my kids at the age of six to a smaller show first and see how they react to crowds, loudness, if they are having fun and so on.

I am hoping for some shows in Spain. Haven't seen the Stones in Spain, yet. And I think that the vibe of a show in Spain might be as closest to the ones in Argentina if you're in Europe. Buenos Aires 2016 has been my favorite show I have ever been to.

What about House of oldies in the Village? Still left? They used to have a great selection of used records. The old Rough Trade location was perfect. Used to live 10 min from there. My casual hang out place.

Quotevoodoodrew Is there a ledge on the wall at the back of the pit? Wife will be 7 months preggo for our local show and I’m trying to decide if the pit is a bad idea. Was thinking that, if there’s a ledge, we could hang out at the back and she could sit a bit if needed. Appreciate any insight! I went to the Stones show in Stuttgart 2018 together with my wife being pregnant in the 6th month. W

I saw Steve Jordan playing once. He came on stage at a John Mayer concert at Jones Beach Theater, NY in 2013 as a second drummer for a few songs. He only had a Kick Drum, Snare, Hi-Hat & a Crash Ride Cymbal. It can't get more minimalistic. He sounded so good. What a groove. He made those songs roll. He wasn't pushing the songs. Actually the same way Charlie played. Due to t

It is true that lots of live rigs of professional musicians consists of amps like Kemper, Positive Grid's Bias Amps and so on. But I doubt a purist like Keith will use these digital amplifiers. These amplifiers are more likely to be seen among session musicians. Today's stage technology is so developed that even with conventional amplifiers you can get a great sound without big probl

I got married in August and my first son was born a few weeks ago. Just wittnessed a few grey hairs on my head. Any coincidence?

I didn't receive an e-mail. But downloaded my tickets. And while I was downloading the tickets, they started playing start me up on the radio. :-)

Wow. I've listened to their songs a million times when I was a teenager. Never noticed that solo. Die Ärzte used to be a really great live band back in the 90's. But I don't like what the have done lately.

Back then I went to 12th grade in Germany. As every Tuesday I went to a local youth club after school with one of my closest friends who happened to be on the top of the world trade center just a month before the attack. after the first plane hit the building we heard the news on the radio.

There are plenty of reasonable priced places to eat in Paris. Just avoid the places around the tourist areas. I usually stay around the area of canal st. martin & parc des buttes-chaumont. lots of good places to eat & a short ride with the metro into the center of paris. just booked my hotel for october yesterday.

QuotegeorgeV So I have read NOT to stay near U Arena as it is a boring area? Which part of Paris do people recommend? Personally I like the region around canal st. martin very much. you've got a lot of bars and restaurants over there. the metro system in paris is very good. so don't worry about traveling in the city. i will stay in that area in two weeks for the french open.

I doubt that they'll put on a third show in Paris. I guess that they will only play the shows they already have announced.

For the Zürich pressale you are directed to the local reseller. I guess this will be the procedure for all the presales. Any guess who is doing the sale for the Paris show tickets?

I try to get some tickets for the London show as I'll be in town for the weekend anyway with two of my friends. We have already tickets for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at Hyde Park on Sunday. A U2 show on a Saturday isn't the worst option. What about a Stones show on Friday? :-)

I don't think that she's on board. She has got some tour dates schedule for the same time, though none of the dates is on the same day the stones are playing. But she's scheduled to play in South Africa on October, 8th. That would not work out with the first desert trip show.

They are sounding good. I am hoping for a tour in Europe after the US-leg. Hopefully Axl & Slash haven't killed each other by then.

QuoteMel Belli I've seen two Stones tribute bands, and the problem in both cases was that no one can play quite like Charlie. Without that element, it just sounds like bad bar rock. Playing drums myself I can confirm this. I find it way more easy to play a complex sounding John Bonham style of drums than play a beat sounding that simple like Charlie, but yet with so much feel and groove.

The money you spend on tape might be an argument for small bands. But I don't think that the Stones should always have the goal making the best sounding record possible. And tape does sound better. I suggest everybody who wants to listen to great sounding records done today, to get some vinyl from the Daptone label. Great music recorded mostly live.
