There was a limit of 100 people at this gig, but I'm guessing more like 60-70 stayed to the end. Ben had just flown in from Australia, and I assume there was little rehearsal. Ben's son Tom played some great sax, and hearing Imelda May and Chanel Haynes was fantastic. But Ronnie was the star of course - at least of the music part of the evening. He looked and sounded in great shape.

Quotebv 2021: Tour dates announced July 22, first shows September 20/26 So there is still time for a tour to start early June - like originally planned. Unlikely, but possible.

Keith is in the Caribbean, but not at his home in the Turks and Caicos by the look of it. Not sure why anyone might think Mick is not closeby...

Just received and looked through my copy of Time Fades Away. A spectacular record of two tours. Its amazing how good the photographs are, taken from a small camera and not a huge professional set-up. Thats a real credit to Hendrik Mulder, who works hard to get to the right place at the front of the show, and then manages to capture those special moments. Such dedication. For a fantastic ph

No tour later this year - if one was discussed it isn't any more. No tour in South America - you cannot get any profit out of some countries, even if you make some, which is unlikely. So Japan/Australia/NZ/somewhere else is one option for next year - they usually start there in March. The other option is the US/Canada. Timing like the original 2019 dates maybe as it fits the sports

I am not too worried about Mick's voice: - he was clearly protecting it in Lyon - the dropping of Shelter could also be due to the event curfew

I like Dean's reviews - they show he is a professional writer, and also a fierce determination to say what he thinks. I also often don't agree with all he says - but free speech means we will never agree with everyone, and we should respect their views even if we disagree.

Quoteschwonek QuoteNikkei "Slip away, pal" is obviously an instant classic lol... after Hampton Keith is pretty strict about strangers being on stage. I think his words to the cleaners were a bit stronger than "slip away"

The gap between the rumoured dates of Lyon (19) and Vienna (22) look very close - the Stones don't do gigs with 2 days between these days unless in the same city. (except for the last gig in 2021... so who knows)

A Tour needs to be worthwhile financially. The costs are high for the crew, musicians, security, travel etc. Then there is rehearsal etc. cost. Balance that against the ticket prices achievable and size of venues, and the desire of the Band to make £xx million each, and you get to needing 12-15 gigs per Tour. That also equates to 3 months away from home for the Band and most of those involved.

QuoteNate So now the authorities here in the UK introduce a new rule that everyone entering the UK must take a pcr test and self isolate until they receive a negative result which could potentially take days for the results to be returned. It is not possible to board a flight back to the UK without showing proof of a pcr booking for when you arrive back in the UK but personally I wouldn't

I spent 14 days in Canada after leaving the UK, now in Charlotte. With the right test results, vaccine, and paperwork it is straightforward process - if expensive in time and cash.... But worth it, if you can do it, to see the Stones. In 3 hours 45 minutes they are on stage. woo hoo !!! Alwyn

Quotecrawdaddy Out of interest, and total admiration,I know Bjornulf, Hendrik and Matt have all made it to USA, on what must have been a real adventure just to get there. Anyone know if other fans from Europe and Asia have made it, as fans from South America, Australia and New Zealand would have a hard time I guess to get into USA as well as getting back home. I guess moving around from o

Great review Hendrik. Great work Matt & Hendrik to get into this gig - and I know it took plenty of planning, time away from home, networking, and relationships built over a long time. And it wasn't certain until shortly before the gig. Interesting to look at the line-up at the end of the show. Eleven band members on stage: four Brits and seven Americans. As the Stones got much, if no

If it's November 1st I could attend Dallas too, If it's November 12th I can't even attend Vegas and Atlanta...the exact date is now very important. Soon come. QuoteHendrik Travelling these days is not easy, especially if you're from Europe and want to see the Stones in the US. You need at least 15 days/14 nights days outside Europe before entering the US. Also a transit in the US is not allowed so that limits the number of airlines from Europe. So KLM was not an option for me this time and I figured out that British Airways was flying direct to
