Hi I am glad you mentioned this - in the 48 years I have been following the boys that rates as one of the best versions of Midnight Rambler - Taylor was awesome - hope to find an excellent recording of this one day, hopefully visual as well as sound

I have been living and working in China for the last eleven years and for one reason and another haven't got to see the boys since leaving England in 2003 - but finally managed to get to Shanghai to see'em. Fantastic show. I am sure I was affected by the time lapse but I thought the show was great and the lads seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Jagger's from another world; I

and thats what I try to do - get them out of the 'lab', free them up a little. They have no knowledge of the world outside china (very little) and I begin to do my bit by starting with the past and working forward - to cram into one year what it took me 45 years to find out whilst teaching them a second language at the same time. what I wish is that someone could just make it a littl

in china i have learnt by mistakes to avoid 'entertainment' for the kids (these are university students by the way) There's a fine line between what they listen too and what they don't. Python would be completely lost on most of them and would need too much other material to put it into perspective. benny Hill would be unacceptable to many authorities here. Music is music, the

Thanks for the thought. Actually this part of the british culture deals with the 60's/70's invasion of the usa. The beatles are overdone and these kids know nothing of the stones - its tied in with the end of the flower power culture and altermont is often quoted as ending this 60's ideal. There are things before and after this - its just one of them. Culture is tied up with histor

Hi Its been a while since I was here but i do have a request. In about a week as part of a 'British Culture' program I plan to show my students (These are kids planning to live and study in the UK) the movie 'Gimme Shelter'. To make some of it more entertaining/understandable to them I am trying to find the transcript of the movie - a clear, fairly accurate one. This will al

I am trying to burn mp3 files to cd's for use in the classroom but am having terrible trouble - may be it's because I am older and stupid. How do I do this? I have been told here before to download nero or similar software, I have done all that and find I still can't do it - am I missing something? Is there some other software or hardware I should have? I use windows xp and have

Just wanted to say - I was at this gig (does the word gig age me?) but can't remember which show it was. My friend and I had no tickets but we went along just for the buzz (is buzz another word that ages me?) However, we were walking round and a press guy was smoking a fag and we got chatting. Anyway, long story short he took us in with him and we had one of the best views in the house hav

Outside The Stones the format of JJF covers is performed in much of the same manner, even Winter, solo aside, follows the usual pattern. I saw Winter live a number of times in the 70's and JJF always went down a storm, but to be honest most things went down a storm in those days with the help of a few black bombers, blues, dec's and so on. This cover might not be to everyones taste but
