My friend and I had no tickets but we went along just for the buzz (is buzz another word that ages me?)
However, we were walking round and a press guy was smoking a fag and we got chatting. Anyway, long story short he took us in with him and we had one of the best views in the house have i told this before?)
The roundhouse was a regular venue for my friends and I. I think it was about 1968 I saw The Doors perform there - to be honest I wasn't all that up on rock savvy at the time but was getting there - now I realise it was their only UK gig, so I was kinda pleased I saw them.
Other bands I saw there (what I can remember) Love; Canned Heat;Hawkwind and many more - Going to The Roundhouse was part of a regularit weekend thing - usually on a friday evening (from C1970) we went down the all-nighter club called "The Temple" in Wardour Street, the following day was party time wherever we had been invited, then the weekend was rounded off by the Roundhouse gigs.

actually I haven't downloaded the version that's been posted.......so I don't know how it differs to my version.......I can tell you that the version I have does not have the best sound. It's pretty muffled and at times I wonder if the tape was running too slow. I've only listened to it a couple of times. I acquired it a couple months ago and as it goes with the rest of my newly acquired shows, I've not had a chance to listen to it alot and analyze it yet. But the sound is not that great. It's good to have though as its' got the only '71 version of "Jumping Jack Flash" and "Prodigal Son" in my collection..
