I think Mick controls the merchandise stuff/has approval. The T shirts are t shirts, and I don't know 9 carnaby but the accessories, jackets, and so on are total crap quality IMO. Maybe no worse than say Styx but I have not bought other band's stuff. I did see the Grateful Dead paired with SmartWool, I'd take something like that. A stones Patagonia sweater....

I have always thought that if I met Keith I would ask him who is his favorite WW2 general. If I met Mick I would ask him why all the merchandise is totally overpriced shit quality.

I will chip in that I think Mean Disposition rips. Great blues great lyrics. Always wanted to hear it live. “I never trusted you and you never trusted me…”

This thread should be named "last place on earth to get actual facts relating to new Stones album."

This was always a so so album for me but I have been spinning it a lot lately. It's much grittier than I remember--like the fade outs on Terrifying and Break the Spell. But more than that, this is an ass-kicking album for Charlie. In top form.

Thanks. A more emotionally evocative solo than most of Ronnie’s.

I am no expert, but seeing Lisa up close my impression was that she is a major talent. Maybe not quite Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald, but within a stone's throw if you'll pardon the pun.

I was front row in Seattle last night and asked if she had a Charlie story. She talked about one time while he was playing she went up to his plexiglass where they used to put the setlist, put big red lipstick kiss on it and then started to sexually grind against it, and Charlie got really embarrassed. She then said he always had elegant shoes, socks, and a subtle but great cologne. It was fu

Don't know how rare but I got the Blues and Moonlight Mile in San Jose 99 on successive nights.

Thanks. I thought it was more that the drummer keeps time like as in there are time bars (1,2,3,4) and the drummer hits on the beat, whereas in Stones Keith "percusses" the guitar on the time beat and charlie lags a bit behind, giving it the famous "roll."

Hi I'm not a musician. I've read in several places that the Stones are unique in that Keith kept the time and Charlie followed. What are some good examples where I could hear that and maybe compared to another non-Stones song where the drummer keeps time? Or maybe it's just everywhere all the time and I need to figure it out. Thanks.

I saw a video years ago talking about how they were in the studio recording LIB and got the call saying Brian died. Supposedly everyone was silently in shock and Mick said firmly "it goes on." That's what is happening. I would have previously opposed touring without Charlie in principal but I am rolling with it. New album later this year. It goes on.

B&L Rips. I think stellar only flaw is Mick over singing on the last song. Wish he would have went understated on that one.

Saw it in Detroit and was happy to get it. It rips. Perfect live vehicle for them. Lots of crowd "hey hey" and funny lyrics, great bridge. I could hear it every time.

So I know six days on the road is a cover song, but anyone know what the lyric "I just passed a jimmy and a white" means? Some trucker lingo I suppose. Thanks.

Anybody notice a funny bit in the Detroit opening--no introduction, Keith walks all the way almost to the catwalk before hitting the opening chords, then Mick looks surprised and a little annoyed that Keith was in his way, but then laughed it off and sneaked by Keith?
