I agree, it's amazing when he does the new stuff, anything from Time out of mind onwards... Also I think he tend to make lesser alterations to these as he feels more comfortable singing them compared to the old stuff. Still, he did great versions Stuck inside Mobile and Masters of War the last time I saw him.. One should just enjoy his concerts for what they are rather than expecting him to

For those not aware, Duke Robillard is in great part responsible for the sound on Dylan's 1997 classic, Time out of mind where he played the lead guitar. So it comes as no surprise that Dylan hired him.

I don't think you understand the evolution of these bands. Had they stuch to the straightforward blues rock, they would have released a string of bland, cliched albums. Instead they upped their game by incorporating new, exciting elements into their music. Physical Graffiti is a hell of a record for instance, even if it's a bit too sprawling for some

Please folks, there are still amazing records out there...This assertion that the last earth-shattering record came out in 1973 is rather unfounded. Yankee Foxtrot Hotel, High Violet, Before the Frost..., Ok Computer, Funeral...etc...ALl excellent records, in no sense inferior than anything that had come before

I clearly remember reading his statement that he would retire from live performing some ten years ago or so... I remember it very vividly because I was heavily into his music at that time and worried that I might never get to see him in concert. It was in a daily newspaper in the culture section as one of the most important news of the day

I think the problem with Eagles is that they had too many commercial leanings. Other than that they were and rpobably still are an extremely talented unit. I think they went up a notch when Joe Walsh joined the band but it also marked the twilight of their recording career. Anyway, the band that has such tracks as Desperado, Wasting Time, Pretty Maids all in a row, Take it Easy etc. can't be

I didn't know hate speech was allowed here. You sound like a very frustrated individual who vents out his anger trashing countries that you probably know next to nothing about.... "some backwards island country"?!! The only one backwards is you, my friend.

Pretty much one of their best record excluding the golden period. It's not by any stretch worse than the much more lauded Some Girls. I actually tend to prefer it. It is flawed in a way that a couple of songs just stick to the groove without ever evolving into a fully-fledged melody but the grooves themselves are just contagious. I also think that both Memory Motel and Fool to cry are some o

Don't worry, Dylan's pretty good live and has a smoking band...Just don't expect him to sound like his former self...Expect a lot of strange arrangements of old tunes...

Chuck's first concert with The Allman Brothers Band... If he was good for them, he's good enough for The Stones... Him being relegated to the plinky plonky keyboard is another matter...

As far as I am concerned Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are a much more exciting act at the moment putting 3 hour 30 min shows every night, drawing upon a large catalogue of top notch material, performing each song as well as it was recorded originally...

No doubt that he is a top notch player who added a lot to The Allmans back in the seventies. However it is quite possible that his style and sound isn't fully compatible with The Stones.I for one don't mind him but it is quite clear that his predecessors did a much more compelling job. Moreover, I don't think that Chuck should be blamed for the band not sounding good enough for som

If Keth isnt capable of touring and performing anymore Mick should definitely opt for embarking on a solo tour with a backing band of top notch musicians capable of recapturing The Stones classic sound (guys like Luther Dickinson and Rich Robinson from The Black Crowes spring to mind). I think this would produce an excellent show.Knowing Mick however, he'll get a bunch of slick studio musici

I am sure that the movie had a huge impact on rekindling the interest in The Doors but I know for a fact that The Doors were one of the most well known bands in Yugoslavia, even before the movie came out. Taking that into account I doubt that they were relatively unknown in other European countries. The Doors are a tad overrated but still an exceptional band.
