I watched some of the celebrations in Madrid last night. Morata would earn good living as entertainer. I was impressed.

VL album is worth the money just for the guitars and Keith's little hooks on Love is strong.

Great show today in Wembley. But the sound was really bad, a big ball of wool and cotton. And I was front of stage centre, not far from soundboard...!

QuoteSpud QuoteGasLightStreet ... just that Taylor went off a bit. Bitch is awesome. Dancing With Mr D awesome. Angie was insane. Tumbling Dice is raunchy. Sweet Virginia is perfectly dumpy with that double thump of Charlie. Etc. But for some reason Gimme Shelter, JJF and SFM were crazy fast, that stupid racing pace, Taylor noodling insanely and Mick grunting/slinging - a glimpse of th

Finally saw it. It is excellent. Remarkable woman. After reading various reviews generally emphasizing that the film is NOT about Stones, I was surprised that it is quite a lot about Stones, or at least Brian, Keith and Mick. Highly recommended.

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 In response to the above posts about Keith's playing. I could care less if Keith's playing isn't what it was back in the 70's. They are not the same band as 50 years ago. I am sure the arthritis has something to do with it as well as the lack of constantly playing like they did years ago. We should all be grateful they are still performing. We all

"I did say I was going to wait to see the setlist, but @#$%& it, I haven't felt that excited to see a headline in awhile. There's only so many legends left and I've never seen him and I adore that guitar sound. I hope its not an arm and a leg, but I'll pay $350 if I have to. In 20 years these legends won't be around anymore. I honestly haven't had a big conc

QuoteJumpingKentFlash QuoteTopi QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack What was the last time they played She's so Cold and Monkey Man? Madrid 2007 comes to mind. A setlist with those 2 songs can't be wrong. Correct, Madrid 2007 was the last time. Before that, Lyon on the same tour 10 days prior. They played it in Roskilde in 2014. She so cold - Arnhem 2017

The show in London last week was excellent and the two guitars were exquisite and blenging well together. I always thought Doug Pettibone is THE Lucinda guitarist.

QuoteMabru QuoteMartinB Hopefully there will be a tour. No knopfler retired from touring his 2019 tour was his last. And also his producer and keyboardist Guy Fletcher confirmed that touring days are over. What a pity!!!

QuoteSomeGuy I sort of have a natural habit to want to 'see' through the obvious sound aspects of a record and immediately estimate what I think about the songs as compositions and the performance. Therefore, I was aware of the Watt production but it was not in any way a hindrance to enjoy the album. What I'm thinking right now is, is the Watt approach really so '2023'

QuoteBig Al Was Voodoo Lounge not an attempt by Don Was to ‘recreate’ the sound of Exile on Main Street? If not that precisely, it was, at least, a determined effort to make the Stones’ ‘sound’ more ‘classic’ I do think the album has a nice warmth to its feel, and I do, very much, like it’s 60’s-like vibe in tracks like New Faces and The Worst. Love Is Strong is another nod to a sort-of classic a
