Quoteerikjjf Crazy Mama - Rolling Stones Crazy Mama - JJ Cale (also played by Paul Butterfield & Rick Danko) Naturally, I prefer the Stones version. But the other one is also quite nice. These two are different songs, not versions of the same. I like the one by Stones but must say that JJ Cale's song is pure genius.

Quotegotdablouse "Ronnie Wood" like this post apparently Usuap rip-off it seems per Ken S.'s post : QuoteDon’t understand why tickets are around the £200 range. Sold out of course. I queued. Got to the select and buy stage and thought why so much. When did a gig become a £200 layout. Probably double with travel and drinks and meals etc. I bailed. Most of the tickets are no

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteNikkei Whenever one of them died, like recently Beck, I get the feeling that I'm responsible to feel something about it. I am not a fan of old guys I am a fan of the Stones. I get that the Stones feel something about it, they don't have many peers, but do I have to? I was bombarded with links to Beck songs I am supposed to know and it just feels like more homewo

Bill's Rhythm Kings were always great fun. Not original music, but great live delivery. His bass playing was just delicious.

The best? Possibly the young "Nashville Masters" (Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck & co.) in Prague around 1985. Absolute eye opener. Ike Turner (Jazz Cafe London 2008) and JJ Cale (London 1992) were amazing. And then of course all the Stones (together or individually) in various places.

From all those I have seen, either in person or otherwise, only Malcom and Angus Young in Leipzig created something spontaneously special.

QuoteKoen QuoteDGA35 During this World Cup, I've read articles about who is the goat, Messi or Ronaldo. To all the IORR'ers who follow the sport, your thoughts, either of them or someone else? The goat is Pelé. Second one is Cruijff. Then probably Messi/Maradona. Ronaldo (CR7) is a great player, but not nearly a goat, IMNSHO. Exactly my thoughts.

Obvious why Ronnie was the choice to join the Stones. The same musicality.

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteDoxa The success of Taylor Swift is unbelievable. She sold in America almost a milloin physical copies in three days plus the singular songs topping the single charts, meaning they are also streamed helluva a lot. In absolute terms she doesn't compare, but relatively speaking, if compared to other artists nowadays, as a record seller she is doing better than The Beat

Two chords perfection. No need for the third (or fourth) chord. The version on Live in Texas is my favourite.

I saw them in Ronnie Scotts when they played (jammed?) after Ronnie Wood's tribute to Chuck Berry. That was rather awkward. I assume this tour is different.

Quotecalipachangero Quotesteffialicia Quotecalipachangero Quotesteffialicia BV, I'm sorry, and this may mean I'm gone from here but Roger Waters is a JEW HATER and I find any thread concerning him highly offensive. Horrible thing to say about a person you don't know and a way to shut down everybody you do not agree with. I suggest to not read OT threads with Roger as the main sub

Asking people to agree to be "denacified", obliviated and stop existing as a nation (particularly in face of strong evidence of atrocities) is beyond comprehension, however well is is informed.

Quote1fatum QuoteStonedRambler Leave the man alone, he had two chemos and probably still isn't back in the shape he was before. I'm sure he's giving his best every night (as all of them do), and nothing he plays is bad enough to mess up a show. +1
