It was like 40 °C yesterday here in Rosario, Argentina, unbearably hot.

Imagine Clapton joining them in 69', a superstar in his own right, at the height of his fame & ego, getting along with Keith & Mick.

Quotepunkfloyd John Bonham was the best rock drummer in my opinion. Keith Moon WAY too much banging around. Bonzo bashed way more than Moon ever did. When he tried to play other styles, like that sort-of-reggae thing on D'yer Mak'er it sounded pretty bad.

Worst set-list would be one made up entirely of post-81 songs. The worst "guest" is already there playing keyboards and he considers himself one of the Stones so what can a poor boy do.

Maybe for the encore they could come out with all of these guests plus a few others (Bieber, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Eminem) and they can sing the Live Aid song.

If it was up to Keith maybe Brian wouldn't be mentioned as well.

QuoteDoomNGloom The time has come for the Stones to do what they do best: Bring some much needed joy back into this (all too often) joyless world we live in. The Rolling Stones are the greatest joy givers (along with Santa Claus, of course) the world has ever known. This is what they were born to do. It is their destiny. It is also time for Stones Nation to come together as one. There is a tim

The "riff" at the beginning sound like they just added some tape of Keith Richards tuning up to the song. Still it's miles better than Doom & Gloom.

I listened to the one that was posted on the official Youtube Channel, which one is that? So generic, and what the hell is Charlie playing?

The studio version is one of the best blues covers of all time. The Mick Taylor solos from 69 to 72 are sublime. I don't like the 78 version, the one from Live In Texas is ruined for me by Wood's second solo where he does his usual thing of playing the highest notes possible without making any sense.

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteChristian Is Keith playing in standard tuning tuned down like the guy in this video? Sounds right enough, so probably yes. It's certainly not standard tuning, but the D is played on the 6th string. That guy also strums too much.

Quotedandelion1967 Quotestones78 A song is the melody and the lyrics. A piano part does not make a song, take the fantastic piano out of Loving Cup, the song is still there. If that warrants a songwriting credit then why not give credit to Bill because of his bass on Under My Thumb? Or Charlie for his playing on Get Off My Cloud? And Nicky is already very recognized, at least by Stones fans, don&

QuoteMightyStonesStillRollin50 QuoteWeLoveToPlayTheBlues Quoteroryfaninva Agreed- this has to be the most bizarre ridiculous idea Ive ever heard. Why not have their ex-wives or pets or former next door neighbors tour? Surely they too are imbued with the Beatles magic. Downright creepy.... All ya have to do is look at the whack that's for it. It's that kind of (lack of) mentality tha

QuoteMightyStonesStillRollin50 Quotestones78 Of course they won't, this is one of the dumbest ideas ever. It's actually a brilliant idea. It would be the biggest tour of all time and make millions happy. It's a No Brainer, but a lot of ideas never get off the ground because of fear. People come up with all kinds of reasons why something shouldn't or can't be done, but a

His "explanation" of the technique he uses for playing solos or whatever in Chronicles to me is indecipherable, I went through countless times and don't understand a single thing he says. "I don’t know why the number 3 is more metaphysically powerful than the number 2, but it is" "Popular music is usually based on the number 2" Sure Bob.

QuoteSweetThing Yes, this is right. There was also the matter of Bill misspeaking or misunderstanding the arrangements of Taylor's financial settlement with the Stones when they parted ways, or perhaps the options Taylor did or did not have. There were also the matters of Bill's recollection of Taylor's drug use (or not) in France, Bill's description/criticism of Taylor&#

Funny, for me Hampton is one of their "swingingest" shows ever, much more swinging than some Taylor era shows.
