Actually, he does. That's just not true. That's actually my main beef with his "work." He takes perfectly good recordings and then messes with them by adding compression and loudness and excessive EQ, when they don't really need it. And then attaches his name to them.

YOU are why many tapers holding back. No point in posting quality recordings so you can remasterbate all over them. If we all post a song like I did with MR from NJ2 then we are accused of teasing people. Pretty sure every show has at least one good to excellent source and a couple have 3 or more. These are not lossy youtube scrapes but actual lossless stereo recordings.

I fully understand your reasonings as due to my professional jobs in the music industry and longterm connections in collector's circles I have tapes that I simply can't share and I don't mean 2024 Stones audience recordings here. Thing is, I don't brag about them, make fans jealous and single out certain people like rskinno and thereby turn him into a hate object here - that's just plain evil imo.
If I remember rightly from a few years back, bv will only delete a thread if he decides he's had enough of it or he will consider it if someone else reports it as inappropriate.
So basically, if you think it's no good you need to report it and say why.
True to a point. Falo has gotten and used my recordings in his project, but he asks in advance. Captain Acid also has done quality work on older recordings and doesn't remaster new stuff just to put his name on it. RSkinno is in the same league as the commercial bootleggers. The New Orleans recording was a test on both accounts and was a fail. After the tour is over the connercial bootleggers have less incentive since demand drops. By then hopefully rskinno will have moved onto sonething else more useful too. My recordings will be shared closely with people I trust until that point is reached and right now I am on the road traveling (some say they are traveling in their user name but I actually do) and I have other things to do. But back to the point, if rskinno was more transparent about what he does, maybe asked a taper if it was cool and shared results before sending something out there would be more high quality recordings out. Just a fact of life here.
Keep in mind that I don't bother to work on low quality recordings and remaster them for uploads. I only bother with this stuff if I need audio for my BDs but keep them strictly just on the BDs.
Also I don't mess with already perfect recordings (anymore).
falo, I'm well aware of all this. But it's not about you, in fact I could have named anybody who ever shared anything here - masters, remasters, matrixes, whatever. People like daspyknows always find reasons for holding back tapes, fair enough because it's their tapes, but to single out people like rskinno and campaigning against him in countless posts and effectively turn him into a hate object for many here is crossing a line for me, it's not only kindergarden, but downright malicious imo.
Apart from rskinno and the Stones, the collecting world in general is full of remasters, some are better than others, the good ones I keep, the bad ones I simply delete, and with a bit of experience you know beforehand who are the uploaders to go for and those you'd better avoid. No big deal, no capital crime either, the stuff is usually available for free and anybody here who feels offended by guys like rskinno should keep in mind that you're lucky that the Stones tolerate the non-commercial sharing of their unreleased music - otherwise your world would turn black and you would have to spend lots of cash for commercial bootlegs in order to hear something that's not officially available.
Daspydoody, I seriously advise you to GET A LIFE! Take it easy, baby, just like the Stones who obviously tolerate these things. 'cause, you know, getting upset all the time about things you can't control anyway can only damage your mental and possibly also your physical health at one point. It's simply not worth it imo.

I have a life almostdeaddog. Enjoying every minute of it traveling. You must be projecting regarding having a life since you don't seem to be doing much enjoying retirement. I am controlling what I need to control and that is why you and a few others on here are so butthurt. Time to get back to enjoying the sites of Amsterdam before heading to Dublin and Manchester for a couple Pearl Jam shows. Bergenfest in Bergen Norway was awesome too. Some people would consider that having a life. you should too.
Getting rude once again is not a sign of mental authority! Anyway, with a wonderful and impressive life like that why do you let people like rskinno stand in your way? Just enjoy the life you have, reek in the favours people are willing to give you for your tapes and the admiration you get from your followers. Take it easy - just like the Stones with recordings like this...

Collecting every release on coloured vinyl IMO is equally as bad, I used to know someone 45 yrs ago who had a rainbow collection of the same single, album, when they were being released in their infancy. I could understand vinyl misprints (same label on both sides), I had a couple myself, but not the coloured vinyl. But then collecting hits people in many different ways.

At a festival in Norway and the artists I met at the hotel at breakfast sure were happy to get recordings of there performance. What did you do all day besides marvel at skinnos "work". Daspydoody, I seriously advise you to GET A LIFE! Take it easy, baby, just like the Stones who obviously tolerate these things. 'cause, you know, getting upset all the time about things you can't control anyway can only damage your mental and possibly also your physical health at one point. It's simply not worth it imo.

I have a life almostdeaddog. Enjoying every minute of it traveling. You must be projecting regarding having a life since you don't seem to be doing much enjoying retirement. I am controlling what I need to control and that is why you and a few others on here are so butthurt. Time to get back to enjoying the sites of Amsterdam before heading to Dublin and Manchester for a couple Pearl Jam shows. Bergenfest in Bergen Norway was awesome too. Some people would consider that having a life. you should too.

Getting rude once again is not a sign of mental authority! Anyway, with a wonderful and impressive life like that why do you let people like rskinno stand in your way? Just enjoy the life you have, reek in the favours people are willing to give you for your tapes and the admiration you get from your followers.
