<<It seems like there was a thread not long ago about the 2nd Champaign show recently becoming available in its entirety( I cant remember).>>

It was reported a couple of months ago that a complete recording of Champaign #2 was found.

Check this thread for further info: [www.iorr.org]

There are NO instrumental overdubs on Ya-Ya´s.

As much as I'd like to believe this, I have my doubts about SFTD after listening to the circulating shows of the entire tour in order.

Besides the web site that purports to find all the overdubs and the difficulty in identifying the edits, what is the source for the view that there are no instrumental overdubs?

Yeah I remember hearing Champaign #2 had been discovered in it's entirety but didn't think it was circulating yet.

There is a missing tape from the "Breakfast" show at MSG on the 28th (I think) which people assume is the brilliant version. I believe Stray Cat is another which we can assume comes from this show (no music from all "released" tapes of the tour).
I concur with Torn that there are no instrumental overdubs on this album...maybe studio fixing for feedback issues, but no substitution of guitar lines....

If you listen to MSG 28th second, and the 27th show there is a similar guitar solo in SFTD on these shows...it makes sense to believe SFTD is from the missing tape.

Not meant to distract the discussion away from the guitarwork, but I just would like to focus
the attention a bit towards Stu putting the fine piano work onder Bills pumping bass on
this recording. Those two beasts of burden were doing a great job here!
