For me, it has been Get off My cloud, Miss You, and Shattered. They sing and jump around and demand I play those songs in my car. Happy to oblige.

Must have been 'Paint it Black' for some reason..maybe the odd melody...

My daughters like Paint It, Black and Start Me Up. When they first heard Start Me Up, they thought the line was "Sta-Bee-O".

She liked the entire LSTNT-movie, especially "that strange guy with the big mouth who behaves like a woman".... ha! (my daughter was only 3 years old then)

My son is almost 17 years old and he likes OUT OF CONTROL (live, I hope!!)

I thought long and hard about what track to play first for my son and daughter. Finally,I decided on "Ruby Tuesday". It worked like a magic charm. They have only heard, "Satanics", "Between The Buttoms", and "Let It Bleed", "Beggar's" and "Goats Head". I'm not sure why, but I worry about playing the rest of the catalogue for them. Maybe I want them to see the Stones for awhile as the absolute geniuses those records present them as. Or maybe I want them to discover the other records on their own. I do know, I badly want the band to tour, at least one more time, so the entire family can see my boyhood heroes in the flesh.

My daughter got into 'you can't always get what you want" when she was about 8.

now, at 17, she like gimme shelter.

she also enjoys Ron wood solo songs, particularly "slide on this"

If you read the next line, I said that I wanted my kids to discover the records on their own. But you do suggest a point. I want them to have this image of the Stones as a group that put out these amazing, consistent records. Which is the way they were for me in my youth. This desire may also be connected to my own hopes for myself as a parent. By the way, I'm on the the planet where we roll down the highway blasting "Amanda Jones". It's not a bad place to be.

The Last Time

I remember the day quite clearly in 2003 when my two girls, then the ages of 4 and 2, were
playing in our car, pushing and turning every button they could reach.
In the audio system was the second disk of 40 Licks. Suddenly they turned up the volume
to what my neigbors call "nuicance level". The car was shaking from their dancing, which is a very
great accomplishment for a 2 and 4 year old girl. The song that caused all this enthousiasm
was "You got me rocking".

SMU and my daughter used to sing 'starry up'

When "Bridges to Bremen" was broadcasted early september ´98 on german television
my son (aged 9 at that time) came just into the living room when Keith opened
the show with "satisfaction".

He was immediately impressed by his perfomance and outfit (the leopardcoat,sunglasses)asking who this "stoneold man "is...
Of course I told him and everytime when his name was mentioned he always remembered
the "cool guy with that coat".

Years later he saw the Hampton sequence with Keith´s guitar slammer.
I explained that this incident took place about 17 years before that coat.

He´s not intersted in their music but KR as such seems incredible cool to him
for defending his band.
