No-one has commented on the support band on Wednesday, Sons Of Albion featuring Plant Junior - any good?

Beyond description I'm afraid ... simply atrocious. Not a melody to be heard, completely over-indulgent singer who admittedly has a good voice and moves like his dad ... but wasted in the context of this particular setup. Hopeless, such a contrast to the band of the previous two nights, who I would actually travel for to see again. Interestingly enough, in the area where Beast and I were standing on the floor, Pete's side about 4-5 rows back from the front of stage, at least half a dozen people we exchanged glances with or talked to expressed precisely the same view as the one I'm voicing here. Sorry ... thumbs down bigtime for the Sons of Albion. Crap !!

Applause was ... how should I put this ... restrained !! Courteous to the point of bare minimum necessity, coupled with a sense of palpable relief that you could almost feel when Plant Junior announced "this is the last number". I suspect most people at the time were thinking "oh good, and don't suppose you could make it a short one" !! Back to the drawing board boys !!

Sons of albion would have faired better had the audience been much younger. The drumming was very heavy and so were the bass lines (not my cup of tea) but they were ok. Seen worse warm up bands for the Stones that's for sure.

They were bluddy terrible - but then not my cup of tea either. Conversely, the warm-up act for the first two nights by the name of Kinkane were bluddy good.

Yes, Kinkane were excellent, though I only caught the last three or four numbers.
