Good for you guys. But it is a little surprising it was that easy and thier wasn't more demand. But I'm sure they will be great shows. I'm seeing them in LA in a couple weeks at a fairly small venue. Looking forward to it.
Presumably something to do with the membership requirement and limit of 2 tickets per applicant......hopefully cutting out any touts.
Enjoy the Nokia Theatre show!

I think it's more than that. Brian Wilson sells LOADS of tickets in England, am I right? Well, you guys see the Who the same way someone in California sees the Beach Boys. They just don't seem very, I don't know .... EXOTIC to you. It's probably a feeling more like "Oh, it's THOSE guys again" rather than the excitement of having someone from a far-off land coming to YOUR home town. The grass is always greener, familiarity breeds contempt, and absence makes the heart grow fonder .... which is why 20,000,000 people want to see Led Zeppelin.

This is very embarrassing but last time The Who played over here (Belgium) I went to see Mötley Crüe instead. Thought I'd redeem that mistake by ordering a ticket for the 15th (floor standing). Never seen The Who before so I'm already looking forward to this concert. At the same time it will be great to be in London again.

Blimey, sounds really easy to get a Who ticket these days. Sounds like The Who can't get arrested over here. My on ly criticism of them of latte is that OI saw them 3 times in 2006 - at some bizarre hedge fund event at Knebworth (attended by a bunch of merchant bankers!); at The Roundhouse; and at Hyde Park. Each time they played the same set. Looking at their most recent setlists not much has changed.

I mean, they are great songs but couldn't they just add in five or so different numbers. I'd love to hear them play A Quick One, Call Me Lightning, Punk And The Godfather, Pure And Easy, Rael, Our Love Was or Circles live.

What are other fans dream inclusions into their present setlist?

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned that but the low ticket sales could be that they are only available to online fan club members. There are probably more fan club members in the US than Europe. The tickets for other recent(ish) shows at small venues (Watford, Shepherds Bush, Portsmouth) were on general sale.

HAN, if you can definitely get me a Monday standing ticket, I could give Adrian my spare Sunday standing ticket, how does that sound guys?

SonicD

P.S. Did you enjoy Aimee; thought the show couldn't have been better other than if she had played "Medicine Wheel" off the new album? Hard to believe she is 48, I'll have 10 of what she is on!

Hello,

Make that THREE London club shows...as lifted from the official site today...

3RD LONDON SHOW FOR THE WHO

Harvey Goldsmith today announced that, due to overwhelming demand for their London shows, legendary rockers The Who are to play a third night at the indigO2 on December 17th.

Unlike the shows on the 14th/15th, for which members of www.thewho.com were given first option on tickets, the 17th December will be open to the general public.

Tickets go on sale 9am Monday 3rd November and are priced Kings Row £75 (very limited number), Balcony seated £45, Floor standing £45.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster +44 (0)844 844 0002.

These exclusive Christmas shows follow on from a series of dates in the US and Japan, which began on October 21st and are receiving universal critical acclaim. The Detroit News commented ‘The Who are a communal experience, one that not only entertains, but elevates’.

More expense...excellent!

Cheers,

Si.

Just spotted that 3rd show/overwhelming demand statement myself.....although it appears tickets are still available on Ticketmaster for the Monday night show if you have a Wholigan membership. They will go on general sale at 1100hours on friday if they still exist.
