I also checked JJF and it's great.In the net you can find lots of bullshit regarding tabs and ways of playing songs.The videos are great and I think if you had the time you should add tabs at least for the tricky parts that can cause a bit confussion.Other than that thanks for passing the right knowledge

That fill is pretty simple and used common when playing anything in E. With the capo on 7....let's make that fret 0...I won't refer to it as 7 here. Anyway, finger on 2nd string, third fret and then other finger on 3rd string 4th fret. Slide it up reptitively and there ya go.

Cool discussion. I guess the guitarists here can all agree that MR is actually pretty easy to play; capo on the 7th, E, D and A shapes predominately. Beyond the technical simplicity, the essence of it otherwise is just a matter of tone and attitude! It's been one of my favorite Stones things to play for decades now!

I never heard anyone saying that MR was in open-G tuning. I'd think it was quite obviously standard tuning (with a capo).

Yes, the left hand work is based on simple chord structures (as most of rock and roll is). But to play correctly all those licks and tricks, you need a little more than attitude.

It's "just a matter of tone" you say. True, but there is no easy way to get "that" tone! You got to know how to control a screaming amp. Esp for younger generations of guitarists who rely fully on pedals ...

The «chords» are broken chords, licks and riffs, with the root chords as the point of reference.

The riff is great, of course, but the genius here is placing the capo on the 7th fret, making that riff ringing excellently – imho.
