It's sounds cool enough to me, mostly because Noel is singing. Had it featured idiot Liam, it'd be really crap!

Sorry but in my opinion they suck.

in my opinion, even if they have some good songs, i cant get over it that they rip so many musicians and steal their songs..

...and the Stones didn't?

Bugger! I agree with Barney.....

the stones were inspired, but oasis just takes parts of other songs and uses them 100%. i mean keith qoutes chuck berry as his inspiration and made his own thing out of it, rather than repeating this rock n roll rhythm for every song. i mean chuck berry mostly plays the same with different lyrics.

Huge difference in the Stones using other people's stuff as opposed to Oasis. The Stones were respectful and honored the blues musicians who at the time were poor and their blues music was not mainstream at all. If anything the Stones brought some recognition to their blues heros. Oasis acts like their too good for anyone and seems to take well known rock music and turn it into catchy pop tunes. If the Stones acted like they do in the 60s Muddy Waters would have slapped them.

Great track from an inspired band.
Oasis write as originally as everyone else in the last 40 years.
Its common and respectful to tip your hat to your influences in your own music.
Its also more interesting than outright covering a song.
Oasis did a nice job on the new CD too.
It sounds really nice.

It's also common that if you are going to rip someone off it should, at nearest, sound like, not JUST LIKE.

This further convinces me that they don't have one original bone in their weak bodies. They are an extremely poor example of a band.

The song is ok to me and I'll definitely gonna watch Oasis live as soon as possible.
Thanks for posting.

Have you ever seen them perform Live, skipstone?

Why would I want to waste my time watching Oasis live? I've seen video here and there. I've seen butter knives that are sharper then Oasis.

Sounds like a decent track to me. Let's face just about everything new you hear these days reminds you of something else in one way or another. Beginning is a bit like Five To One but who cares, lots of Stones stuff reminds me of other tracks as well but it doesn't mean that they do it deliberately.

Oasis - they definitely have some truly great stuff, but throughout their career, and maybe especially since '97, their albums have been extremely patchy.

The new, after all the fanfare and hoopla has died down, will possibly be remembered as their worst. Besides a handful of good tracks ('Shock of the Lightning' being one of the plus points), the album has 3 or 4 woeful songs, tuneless, aimless and dull. The two or three that close the album are 3 of the worst they've ever recorded. The album as a whole, "discovering the groove" as Noel put it, is in most part a shambolic mess of ideas that just don't click. IMO of course.

A major disappointment.

Another reason the 90's sucked!

Funny cause I remember one of these clowns saying that Jim Morrison was nothing but a drunken boofen, or something insulting.

I know some people here like Oasis but to me they are talentless hacks who think they can piss on their fans. My ex-girlfriend was a huge fan of them until she saw them live and they spit at the crowd thinking it was funny.

Excellent track, though I haven't been too impressed by what I've heard from new album so far. Shock Of The Lightning is superb - as is this track posted here.

What a bunch of talentless hacks. The Doors should sue them within an inch of their lives.
