Yeah, it aint bad routing out a Dutch LP from mid sixties at a Car Boot sale on a wednesday morning (in the rain)!!

I'm not bothered about the value, its more of the find that thrills me.

I also bought Eddie Cochrans first LP, Jerry Lewis 1st and 2nd LP and Fats Doms 3rd.... all original. Not a bad days work..... talking of witch...

This should be the second pressing. The first one has the label without lines.

Ah hah! "Value 3,50 euros" my harris! Cheers SR

There a few on Ebay. I found one for £40 and someones bid on it....

Anyway, I just played it and it still sounds as good as the last time I played this album.

It was the first album I fell in love with aka: Stones.

Rock on bud!

Another Dutch pressing of the first album.

This is the so-called Psych cover; the Belgium version with Belgian vinyl is also available.

anybody knows something about this US cover?

[cgi.ebay.it]

On the backcov. is MADE IN USA; the London logo is missing. The vinyl is UK.

Yes, US printed sleeve, also for Fan Club...Note: NO LONDON LOGO, as also used for export pressings. Pretty rare. I have this, and a few others. Most notably, Paint It, Black. Also have the letter from the UK fan club....describing the sleeve. Indicates printed in USA, then sent to the UK Fan Club, then back to the USA...at least the ones I have. If folded at the top, clearly a fan club issue, as they folded them to fit in envelopes smaller than the sleeve.

Hope this helps.

This one with LSTNT is folded in the middle, vertical way. No fans letter, unfortunately. Therefore the ones available are LSTNT and Paint it black; can you check the others please?

Here is the fan club letter for the UK Fan Club Sleeves. I have the envelope around here somewhere, but cant find it at the moment.

Here is the sleeve, SANS London Logo, but CLEARLY a US printing of the sleeve.

very interesting; thanks JR. The PIB was recently on eBay but I've been overbidded. Got the LSTNT as it was a 'buy it now' offer.

These issues should belong to the UK discography; they are not reported in anyone of the circulating books.
Maybe in the last editions of Tim CD-Roms.

Equally as rare as the US Stock copy of Stoned. Only around 5 known copies!!!!

Now, top three on my want list...

1. UK Poison Ivy / Fortune Teller 7"

2. US Picture Disc of Big Hits...Cover of Big Hits 1, plays Through the Past, Darkly 12" LP.

3. One sided RSRecords, Tumbling Dice, UK Decca Demo / Test Press.

I think then I can retire!

Aaah, so it ended up in your collection JR. I went like ooooups when I found the Big Hits on the bay. I did put it on my watchlist and suddenly it was gone...

Well, I think it ended up at a home were daddy takes good care of his children

Thanks, Jan....the guy had no idea what he had. He almost gave it away. I told him exactly what he had---and made him a VERY fair offer. Cost a small fortune, but I think I did the right thing. I did NOT want to anger the Vinyl Gods.

I have wanted this record cover for so long. I will look nice next to my Original Beggars Banquet UK Slick.

Sticky Fingers restaurant maybe?

No, I would at least treat her to some SIZZLIN' hot Thai food. We've already been to Sticky Fingers...nice atmosphere, but the collection is a little lame, dont ya think....Mine is much better! Ha! Kidding...

Actually, our first date was me coming over to her house, when she was in college, and watching a video of "Gimme Shelter".....little did she know what she was getting into...Ha..

Best,

JR
