JR, you know I'm a "Debut album Addict" :-)
I don't now if I already posted this one. Here the debut testpressing. both sides play Side-2 with a different matrix number, but unfortunately not the short Tell-Me.

I am a bit of a 1st LP nut, myself...but mainly, I concentrate on US and UK variations. So Glad you found the Israeli one!

I once had a shot at a UK test WITH the Tell Me but I lost the auction (Goldmine Magazine).

Anyway, I will go through some other test presses and put those up later. Watching basketball til tonight.

If you ever get to the states (Washington DC area), you should come by and check out the collection.

Best, and keep on rockin'!

That's cool to see, that from the Big Hits also exists a pink/green labeled testpressing (seems to be the same as mine, which is also the Stereo one an having pure pink labels).

HHmmm, Do you know when Decca used pink/green labels instead of pink or white (with a greenish touch) labels, means from what certain year on ... or what are the earlier labels white -> pink/green -> pink ? I just looked to my triple testpressing set "History of the RS", which is from mid 70's and that one has the pink labels, so that might be the last used, or?

All the best to you JR !!!

I'm currently on a business trip and hopefully on the weekend I can just look through my goodies to post something ...

... but ... where is actually Matt? I think he will come back from NY with some new and rare items (some interesting new "Faces" things to see would make me happy)

Some UK demos...

Probably the rarest record I have...UK Demo--Little Red Rooster, but on LONDON Records, probably made in LOW quantities for export to the US, since the single was such a big hit in the UK...

Not Fade Away, Decca Test pressing....

Satisfaction / Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man, White label, blue print, Test Pressing, for Export Stock copies..

Love those "pictures of the middle of records"...
Rolling Stones Work is music and records above all.
Thanks to give me an idea of what I still have to trackdown!

Here are some UK export block outs...likely the block out logos are for export records sent to countries without UK Decca rights. Note both all the logos on the covers AND labels are blocked out with colored tape. Red tape to match the LP labels, and blue to match the 7" labels. Black for the LP covers.

Satisfaction and the Last Time, both "Open Decca" so pretty early pressings...

Rolling Stones #2 1-A / 1-A matrices...again EARLY press...

Out of Our Heads, later press, 12-A / 8-B matrices, but "Open Decca" labels...

Here is an "Out Of Our Heads" bought from a collector in Canada (Greenish cover, boxed Decca, who bought in new in the early 70's, with a London Import Sticker, but NOT covering Decca and nothing unusual on the back...other than it has the misprinted "Decca 965" date on back cover.
