Why did he leave anyway? Sorry if it's already been answered, but I'd like to know. He's a great source of information, not to mention fellow fan!

He took exception to some of the comments regarding the demise of Allen Klein.

Wow, there's some heavy comments in there. It can definately be tough sometimes with people on this board. Kind of reminds me of a comment I heard at the beginning of the e-mail explosion "it's awkward because sometimes words don't relay full communication, i.e. facial expressions and tone of voice". Anyhow, we have to live with progress I suppose.

I love this multi-colured vinyls...
Was released recently or is an old album?

I saw a lot of colured boots for sale on the last two years, and is not the same as the 70s bootlegs.

This is a typical 80`s boot, released in Jan 1987 (according to D.Hoffmann). All these multicoloured boots were very popular at that time.

OK, Doc, but I think that the Ron Wood one is officialy released, not a bootleg (like the Swingin' Pig ones that you have)... maybe I'm wrong...

It's not a WEA release, but a german label, so I never really found out if it is 100% legit or not...
I didn't take time to search either, but any reliable info would be highly welcome, of course

1962 issue of the weekly magazine Jazz News and Review. Important piece of Rolling Stones history as it lists the 16th gig of the Rolling Stones career at the Wm. Morris Hall on Nov. 14, 1962. Their name was still the "Rollin' Stones". Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones were the band but it would be another several months before Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman would join the group. Charlie is actually listed as a member of his original group "Blues by Six". A thin and fragile publication, not many could have survived.

It looks to me like a boot; just using the same pic used on the official release called "Always Wanted More".

A belated thankyou to steffiestones for the Jazz News clips. It looks as if the William Morris Hall was the first venue where they played on anything like a regular basis: "3rd Stones show ever-8/4/62, and 5 other shows in 62" according to the communitywalk website. William Morris Hall still exists - I wonder if they know about their place in Stones history?

A 100% legit release - they (Perfect Beat) bought the rights for Germany for the 1st two Ronnie LPs and released them in many different ways (I found three different ones on a first look) as a double-album.

There's an limited Maxi-single (2.000) as well with "I Can Feel The Fire/Sure The One You Need//Am I Grooving You" including a big-sized poster.

All will be up on my site www.vinylstones.org soon.

steffiestones thanks for posting excerpts from the JazzNews & Review!

The Blues Plus Six mention a certain Charlie Waits, that's a wrong spelling, right?
None of the other members is known as a drummer to me, so it should be Charlie Watts!?
