I thought he worshiped at the Stone Roses alter and the Jam too. Strange he would leave them out.

Why would he list a band (Sex Pistols) that were a no talent clown - joke act with their 15 minutes + 1 extra minute of fame?

Agreed. Especialy with The Stone Roses. He has always cited them as being one of the BIG influences.
The rest of the list reads as I expected. I have read before that he is a big fan of the 1960's era Bee Gees.

Indeed. Gallagher leaving The Jam off the list is very odd.
However, like most of us, if you ask him the same question next year,
he'll probably have a different answer.
I for one, think The Jam are one of the best bands to come out of England
in the past 30 years. God, it's been that long?!?
Paul Weller deserves every accolade given him.

Besides the SEX PISTOLS (which should say THE CLASH for one to be accurate) he has a pretty good list. Why would he list a band (Sex Pistols) that were a no talent clown - joke act with their 15 minutes + 1 extra minute of fame? Strange..... Stone Roses should replace the La's.....

Well, maybe your changes are better but then it would be the "HelterSkelter" list and not "Noel Gallagher" list, no?
