Nice footage, but the reels are out of order. (Super 8 film cartridges would only allow you to shoot for a little over 3 minutes worth of film, so the person obviously shot several rolls)

It starts with clips from the end of the show, so instead of Sympathy we hear HTW.

Otherwise great stuff.

Geez I have the tour book created after this tour by Terry Southern (I think) and Annie Leibovitz. Great book with horrible binding. I am amazed I haven't lost any of the pages. Picked it up years ago for about 5 bucks after buying Love You Live which was one of my first Stones albums. Lots of cool tour photos, backstage stuff and details about the stage and tour setup. Really great book.

Yes! The oversized paperback...
The binding didn't last long, but I never lost one page. It was one of the first Stones books I ever had and it's a favorite. You should check out Lisa Robinson's new book, she writes about that tour.

I have that 75 tour book too; the green one. One of my first ones; and still a favorite.

it's someone with a Strat. Clpton and Santana both guested on SFTD. I think keith was plahying bass on that, and Sanatana was playing a LP looking guitar. But that song isnt SFTD; Jagger is doing the bucket thing.

31 July, 1975 in Greensboro, NC was my first ever Stones concert. I was 15 years old and mom drove me and my cousin (who turned me onto the Stones) from Chapel Hill. She let us off at the bottom of the parking lot about 1pm. We inched our way up to the main gate just to the right of the inclined drive into the back stage area. I remember watching people coming and going, cars, trucks, all kinds of things going on and the excitement kept growing. Finally, at around 5 or 6, the gate was opened (more or less trampled down!) and we were all @#$%& and elbows for the doors. I don't know how my cousin and I didn't get separated, but we both made it down to the floor and right up to the front between the center petal and the petal on Keith's side; in other words, we were in front of Keith the whole night. And what more can I say? That night was the beginning of a life long obsession that has led to 116 shows to date.

About the GBO show; I have heard there exists a board recording and I think I've seen it posted for downloading somewhere in the past. I may be mistaken, but worth checking out.

I had a good recording of nearly the whole 26 June, 1978 Greensboro show and Myrtle Beach show (22 June?) but lost them a few years ago when my mom died. I think they got tossed somehow whilst cleaning her house. Anyway, I wish I had them to share as they weren't too bad.

Wow, they were hot in 1975! Wish Ronnie would still play with that much fire. I notice Mick does a lot of shouting rather than singing but somehow with the band so energized it seems to work. peace

72,75,their best tours, IMHO,shout out to Chris Epting(hbwriter),we miss you here .....

Chris, was one of the ,best contributors to this board and a huge Stones fan as you can see by this thread unfortunately he was banned by BV during last year's purge,for speaking his mind,hopefully at some point the Boss here will unban him..
