Any reasons for this?

A release date of January 1st usually means that they don't know when it will be out yet. God damn it. I would love to have a GS DVD with even more extras than the great US version. I wrote Maysels Films some years ago, and when I asked them if they had the complete Altamont show on film, the answer was "Should be in stock".

I love the 69 tour and in Altamont they played really good!But there has been talk about this before. We'll probably never get to see it.

I wrote them in 2004 and they said they were planning a worldwide release of it. As of yet we've seen nothing though. And it's 4 years ago.

Maybe they wait to released when it will happen something else about them. Why not till the European tour??? (If it happen!)

They could,but will they ? Isn´t it to avoid "collision "with the SAL release in Europe ? ( sooner or later...)

My guess is that it will be the same as the existing release. The thing is, hat it was only released in the US, if I'm not mistaken. I have my copy from the US, but it is region 1 DVD, which means one can not play it on most of the Eropean DVD players. So it sounds logical, that it will be finally relased in Europe (I don't understand why it hasn't been yet). It would be of course great to have some more extras - full-length MSG show would be great, the whole Altamont concert would be a dream come true (Better than the movie itself). But then I think it would be released world-wide and since this topic's title says "Eropean release," I bet there will be nothing new.
