What if he's got a poin-ted stick?

Banana! Perhaps (... Stones-related drumroll... thank you Charlie, that's lovely) "Ronnie Wood on the banana!"

Hmmm, wasn't that about a year ago today? [Sigh.]

I think that was TWO years ago actually! That was one of the Fenway shows right?

Nope - first or second night at the O2... Ronnie was only half-way thru his mid-show banana when Mick started his introduction, so he came out waving a half a banana... I think it was the first night because I seem to remember watching it from the left.

[Apologies - that was totally non-fish related...]

Wait - i think he did something with a banana at a show in Boston too though. I think Debra (Mickschix) saw it. I'll look back through the old threads to see if I can find it. I remember there was talk that it seemed Mick & Keith were pissed at Ronnie about something.

SMOGberry. Dr. Demento used to broadcast from under the smogberry trees of LA. Had a date with him every Sunday night at 9 all through high school. Fish Heads was an early classic. Along with the obscure and previously-posted (by moi) Wet Dream by Kip Adatta. And no, I don't remember anything that is actually important.

In the year of 1970
Underneath the old smogberry tree
First was heard a man that we all know
The one and only Dr. Demento

Nixon, Ford, and Carter, Reagan too
Remember all they did and didn't do
Through it all, one consistency
Spending once a week with Dr. D

So wind your radios way up tight
Raise your glasses high tonight
Like wine, his spirit has fermented
So here's to him, the one who stays demented

How can you not love a guy who brought the world Weird Al Yankovic and classics like Hot Rocks Polka!

Weird Al is SO stupid. It's Only Rock and Roll isn't even on Hot Rocks. Boy, I bet he feels like such a fool! Who's going to take him seriously now after such a faux pas?

There's something fishy about this thread, but I've decided to hang out here just for the halibut.
