Just a thought, if anybody's reading this who has anything to do with the next tour, it goes without saying (from me, anyway). that whatever you want to play is okay too. These are just hopes, and there is some disagreement among us.

I'd hate to have a case where someone says, hmmm, we've ruled out 18 of the 20-21 songs we always play/we were planning on playing so hmmm, we might reconsider the whole tour.

OTOH, it'd be nice if, say, the top two or three here would go, and the top two or three on the wish list for inclusion could come in.

Miss You
IORR
Jumpin' Jack Flash

Those are the three worst songs performance wise since 1989. JJF just gets worse every tour. Miss You just isn't a good song. And IORR - come on. If you're gonna slaughteringly imitate Chuck Berry at least DO a Chuck Berry song.

Shit. Three is all we get?

Oh come on now, don't stick your nose so far up like that. If they took something like this that seriously they'd love it - wow, we can play OTHER songs and people will still show up?

If I do get to see them I'll know when to take a leak and when to leave to beat the traffic if they do the same ol' show AGAIN.

The following warhorse songs should not be played PERIOD because the performances of said tunes have gotten worse every tour:

Jumpin' Jack Flash (Jagger sounds bored singing it)
Honky Tonk Women (I hate that piano solo; song too long)
Tumbling Dice (once a great song, now an extended, boring mess)
Miss You
Sympathy for the Devil (Keith can't play the solos anywhere near as good as Steel Wheels)
It's Only Rock and Roll
Satisfaction (hate those back-up singers)

Do play:

Looking Tired
Sitting on a Fence
No Expectations
Child of the Moon
Salt of the Earth
I Am Waiting
Stupid Girl
Flight 505
Moonlight Mile
She's a Rainbow
Who's Driving Your Plane?

Whe no Miss You? I find it was brilliant last tour! I've heared it on 8 ABB-show and I always loved it. It was never stronger than on this tour.

Ok, so leave out nearly every song Joe Public knows....

You gotta remember most people don't sit analysing poorly recorded boots all day long and don't get fed up of the songs that made the stone FAMOUS

Sympathy for the Devil

They took a fantastic song and made it anything but fantastic.

I hate the computer intro, half the lyrics he doesn't sing, as well as the annoying whoo whoo, whoo whoo over and over.

If you all don't want to hear Satisfaction, Jumping Jack Flash, Miss You, Tumbling Dice, Honky Tonk Woman ... - why to hell are you going to Stones-shows?
Well, I also don't like Tumbling Dice or IORR that much but: if I hear it live, I love it because it's live from the Rolling Stones. That's the strength of them: make me loving every sound, they produce!

I guess it would be like eating (insert your favourite food) everyday. Eventually it loses it's pizazz.

It's just like anyone else who is sick of hearing the same tunes year in year out over and over and over and over and over - even if we DID NOT HAVE THE INTERNET people would STILL BE SICK OF the same songs over and over and over and over and over and.....

and would like to hear something DIFFERENT. Never played before. New.

I won't miss Miss You.

Would prefer not to hear a two-song Keith set, but I might like to see Happy with Keith & Mick again sharing vocals.

IORR -- Mick butcher's the lyrics. I mean he can't be bothered to get the first line even close to the proper lyric or even have what he sings make any sense. And the song has totally lost whatever bite it once had.

Miss You -- Even if played well

Sympathy -- The guitars have become so bad on this one; it can be painful.

Miss You!

I am surprised how many people vote for this one, I always thought everyone liked the song and I never knew why. Now I am glad I am not the only one who would rather like to hear anything else...

I'd like to hear them play it Ya Yas style again. My one big criticism since 1989 is that they're often tried TOO hard to sound like the studio versions...

I think they should keep this (there must've been alot of disappointed people at 70s shows who wondered why they didn't play it!), but perhaps with a new arrangement?

One idea would probably be to perform some medleys. Not those Vegas-type 8-hits-in-3-minutes medleys, but for instance in 1967 they did thrilling medleys of 'Get Off Of My Cloud' with 'Yesterday's Papers' & 'Goin' Home' with 'Satisfaction', & then in 1975-76 thy did 'If You Can't Rock Me' with 'Get Off Of My Cloud'.

Agree 100%!!!
It has become the carnival moment of the set, That made me hate SFD, that's my beer and a leak moment.

How could you not want Tumbling Dice at a Stones' show?
More Goat's Head Soup and Black and Blue stuff would be welcome.

It is indeed a matter of where you live, which shows you went to, and which songs you didn't get.

Sway for instance has never been played in France.

Street Fighting Man made its way to several setlists during the 1989-90, 1994-95, 1998, and 2002-03 tours

Undercover is a "rare" song in Europe, less in the US.

My opinion is that the band cannot avoid playing warhorses. Some, like Miss You could be skipped, but the novelty should come from either great new songs or songs almost never played recently like Let It Rock, Far Away Eyes, Memory Motel, Crazy Mama. A "new" old song for me is a song they havent or rarely performed on stage since 1989.

Less than 20 songs by gig

The disasters from ABB tour :
- She Was Hot
- Undercover
- Miss You without sax solo
- Streets of Love
- Wanna Hold You

I strongly disagree. SWH was a true gem, and had been on the wish list for many tours. I can't move past it on SAL until I repeat it 2 or 3 times, absolutely brilliant stuff.

Please don't play:
YGMR
Slipping Away
SFTD
Rough Justice
Happy
Miss You

Please do play:
Gimme Shelter
Driving Too Fast
Back of my Hand

Format change:
B-stage....yawn. It is for this reason alone that all tours since B2B have felt like one big long bloated tour. I'd really like to see a new format, not a variation of what happened before. Do the Superbowl thing!
