Mick Taylor is sick
Posted by: Buddy Young ()

Hi Guys,

I went to Bospop in Weert yesterday. Lots of fine artiests there. Mick Taylor was supposed to play with (I think his name is) Bobby Mccabe. In the afternoon there were big screens saying that Mick Taylor would not make it to the gig. Later on the presenter told us that Mick Taylor was sick and that they had a very good replacement: Snowy White.

Then Snowy and Mccabe played a well rehearsed show together. Bobby said they had met 2 weeks earlier in Italy. They must have known for some time that Mick Taylor wasn't going to make the gig.

Anybody more news about what's going on with Mick?

Maybe a double White Russian would cure all his ills....

Or a 19 year old Russian girl. Maybe it will get him back in the Stones.

Sounds like a scam to me - as you pointed out without saying.

Taylor sick & cancelling gigs? Not the first time. Sometimes its sickness (of himself and relatives), sometimes its family affairs...well, could be, but he is famous for his last-minute gig cancellations.

Well, I did not waste any talent by drink- and drug binging since '72. So why am I the sick one?

Mathijs ???? Atlent by drink? what does that mean?

And just because he indulged some makes him "sick" ?? he didn't look sick to me
in 1982 when he tore up the Roxy Night club in Hollywood at the Bluesbreakers
re-union. Joan Jett, Bob Dylan, Axel Rose, Slash all thought the same thing.

I seen him many times thru the 80's 90's & 2000's out here in LA, can only
think of one time I wasn't that impressed, all the other times I was and so was my friends...

Go make your jokes about someone else..

no news, but
it looks like he hasn't been well since June 1st, and probably earlier.

Get well and recover, then.

Important news for anyone that had planned to see Mick Taylor at the Castel San Pietro Festival, near Bologna, Italy:
Mick regrets very much he will not be able to play at the festival on Sunday June 1st,
at the moment he's not well enough to travel but is hoping to return to Italy in the near future.
Snowy White will appear in Castel San Pietro with the band that Mick has been playing with for the last year.

Snowy is an old friend of Mick's and has agreed, at the request of Mick's agent in Italy,
to replace him for this date.
