AC/DC expected to go on tour
Posted by: RollingStonesFan ()
Date: July 3, 2008 17:08

German most important ticket-trader "eventim" opened a ticket-alert for AC/DC this week. [www.eventim.de]

In past, they were right with their alerts, so I'm pretty curious, what will happen next. I really want to see this band live - I missed them 2003 at Hockenheim...how stupid!!!!

my mate works for a company (L*ve Na*ion) and he says they're currently 'planning/routing' a tour.

so the kick off January rumours could be true. and not before time too!

the new album is scheduled for October release with the single late August

exclusive through Walmart in the States apparently. which seems a bit gay

If you are even remotely thinking of going to see AC/DC live, if you have never seen them, DO NOT miss the opportunity!

AC/DC are, with the Stones a close second THE band to see live

and then you see the MAJOR difference.

ones a caberet act and ones a rock n roll band

When was the last year when Stones AND AC/DC were on tour?
If AC/DC will be on the road in 2008, it won't be a good time for the Stones to tour, right? Both bands will have ticket-prices up from 80€ and both bands have almost the same drawees...but the Stones had two, or even three worldtours since AC/DC had their last gigs.

80€? I'll sign for that. smiling smiley
Next stones tour? 2009, Stadiums + prices from 100 € (nosebleeds) up to 220€.
(more or less like Madonna now)

No AC/DC will not be too expensive. Unless some promotor take the chance to make some extra buck on their legacy. I would guess between 60-70euros.

I cant wait to see AC/DC again on tour.

What do you mean with that part? Are you talking of Stones or AC/DC? Who was ones a cabare act??????

There is no caberet act and anyone that says The Stones are a Vegas act or a caberet act is grossly exaggerating and just being silly.

But AC/DC IMO is grossly one dimensional compared to The Stones. Where is the great AC/DC ballad? All their songs sound the same.

No big AC/DC fan but in fairness "Ride On" is a great ballad, and my favourite AC/DC song >grinning smiley<

I´ve been a hardcore ACDC fan from 1979 (11 years old) to 1982.
Then I saw the Stones in the cinema. ROCKS OFF.

The difference:

The Stones are a totally unpredictable riff band, even with
Chuck L. behind. They have different styles and loads of SONGS.

ACDC are so much playing the same style. I saw them twice:
2001 on their own tour, and 2003 opening for the Stones.
It was impressive, soundwise. But to be honest: Both gigs were
sounding the s a m e.

Even when I saw the Stones play back to back shows (Paris 95,
Giants 1997, London 99 i.e.) they were never sounding the same.

thats the POINT. AC/DC have a style and stick to it. they don't want to do anything else other than heads down rock n roll. and they do that better than anyone

ballads ??? BEHAVE!

and to whoever said their tickets would be high price wise. aint gonna happen

never has, never will. they have integrity and don't @#$%& their fans over

not really a ballad either. nor is Ride On

AC/DC just don't do ballads

isn't that reason enough to raise a glass and toast them ?

No but it does show they are totally one dimenional compared to other bands. Even Led Zep had some good ballads. AC/DC is a one trick pony- and their one trick isn't even all that good.
