I know that there are some Yes lovers in this forum. So there are bad news, Jon's health is the reason that the summer US tour will be cancelled.

Pray for a fast recovery Jon so you can get back on the road.

Maybe it's because they sound so hopelessly dated now, but there is no piece of music that takes me back to high school more so than "Starship Trooper".

I find it very difficult to believe that people actually like that nerd music. People are serious about those two shitty bands? It just has to be a joke.

Yes to cancel summer tour

I'd say No to cancel the summer tour - if it was the Stones.

but in case of Yes, yes please do cancel.

How 'bout a triple bill of totally worthless prog-rock nerd music!

BOSTON
YES
KANSAS

TICKETS ARE JUST $25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TWO BANDS THAT SOUND THE SAME (BOSTON, KANSAS) AND ONE THAT STICKS OUT ON ITS OWN (YES) THAT ALL SOUND INCREDIBLE! NERD ROCK AT ITS FINEST! $25 ONLY!

LAWN SEATS ARE ONLY $6!

Playing in a triple A baseball stadium near you........

While I never could stand Yes music I don't feel happy that they cancelled their tour. I still remember what we felt when Stones cancelled part of their 2006 European tour and I don't wish any fans of any band that disappointment. I hope that Yes fans will get to see their band on tour soon.

I used to be a big Yes fan. They were a vital band back in the 70s. Waaaaayyyyyy past doing anything relevant.....and the music did not age well.

Blues sounds better with age. Prog rock sounds amazingly retro instead of progressive.

Loved Yes and ELP in their day. Time to put it away.

BTW: another possible tour cancellation reason....no one was buying tickets. They were offering FOUR tickets for $90 total in Toronto.

You're right, franzk.
...and it's a very decent thought indeed.

but after all, this is a Rolling Stones site and can get a little evil at times hot smiley

I also used to love Yes, still do so why should they have to put it away. There are many people who like them and I'm sure would go to see them so good for YES. I'm sure if anyone on this forum had the chance of playing live in front of a large crowd and were even had a fraction of Yes's talent they would play.

Good luck to Yes, i hope Jon is back to health soon and they tour.

I have always been a Yes fan but in reality the peak and more recently the fall coincides with Trevor Rabin's joining and departure.

All this talk of Yes being past its peak and musically no longer relevant reminds me of a certain other english band from the 60s/70s that continues to plod on regardless............but we can't mention its name around here for fear of upsetting our sensitivities.........

...and I thought I was the only one who appreciated Trevor's work with Yes.

I've never heard ONE person say they wish they could go see Yes or that Yes would tour.

As far as the Stones still doing it is at least we know what we're getting.
