Twist and Shout (The Beatles) You Really Got Me (The Kinks) She's Not There (The Zombies) I Feel Fine (The Beatles) Oh Pretty Woman (Roy Orbison) Walk On By (Dionna Warwick) Goldfinger (Shirly Bassie)
I was born in 1957 when real Rock and Roll was in it's infancy but I would have to say my fovorite single would be:Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On by Jerry Lee Lewis. Looking over a list of songs from that year makes me cringe with some of the sappy hits of the era. But "The Killer" definately stands out as does Elvis, Buddy Holly, Fats Dominoe, and a few others.Take into consideration that the top 5 albums of the year 1957 were:
1.Around The World In 80 Days - Soundtrack 2.Loving You - Elvis Presley 3.Love Is The Thing - Nat King Cole 4.Elvis Christmas Album - Elvis Presley 5.Ricky - Ricky Nelson
