i was very kindly sent this and recd it last night, of course i had to watch straight away and its great, the multiple camera angles make it great to watch, you get quite close ups and then more distant shots which gives the experiance of being at the concert, as i watched it at abt 2am i couldnt have the sound up to get the full experiance but from what i heard it was all synched togther really well

You constantly run from the front to the back of the arena at gigs. Also extremely grateful to have received this

I would guess the reason why the Stones wouldn't want to release something like this is because of the nature of the gig - the last show of the tour and all that 'last time' bullshit.

Then again...why not? Just put it out, not make it into some multimedia circus.

I want this! Please offer details of how to secure.

Assume those of you who've seen it like it better than SAL?

I see Redlands kindly uploaded the DVD to RocksOff tracker right now. I would not recommend paying for this DVD. Download it, or get it via trade for free. The bootlegers simply copied Redlands work, which was available on Dimeadozen some months ago - and they are making money on something that was free; and fully completed and perfected, to begin with.

I totally agree, Erik. I received this out of the blue from someone I've swapped with for years. That really makes it a pleasant surprise!

Thanks scottkeef, yes that's the way it should be done.
I'd be happy to send a copy to some people, but I don't download that one since I was there - and remember everything. Why not set up a DVD-tree for the ones interested? One person sends a copy to 3 others - and they'll send it to 3 others - etc. Could easily be done.

Is the Rocks off upload the whole DVD or must he edit it again like for Dimeadozen where he had uploaded it about 2 months ago?
A complete DVD would make it worth downloading for all of us here.
I still have a copy by Redlands himself and if anyone has not a fast internet connection to downlad a 8 GB disc I can trade it with him.

Rolling on, it's the complete DVD. I would have downloaded and sent out a few copies myself, but I have no room for 8GB right now; an extra harddrive is overdue for me.

Finally some words of reason - ty Erik.

everyone seems to want to buy, buy buy - how much?
After all it's a bootleg.
Lots o' ppl envolved, yeah - thank you to every single one - but the general idea is to share, innit?
I'd rather bootleg the bootlegger, than pay for it.
Dl it, share it - enjoy it.

And yes, it's quite absurd, isn't it? Several fans, some of them even posting/reading IORR, are filming the London show - and Redlands spends time putting it together - dubbing it with a great audio. And then, some bootleger makes money on it, and present it as his own?

Thanks Rolling on, but I'm in no position to trade for the moment. I've stored 90% of my collection elsewhere these months - so I have nothing to trade for. My harddrives are so filled up that you wouldn't believe it!
Just interested in making as many people as possible getting this fan-project for free, instead of paying the bootlegers

Think theres a Springsteen show from Stockholm last December which has something like 19 camera angles!

It's 6 cams actually.
here's what Redlands says:

Quote

Rolling Stones
O2 Arena, London, England
August 26th. 2007

Title: Rolling Stones Live At O2 Arena
Multicam DVD

I made this multicam DVD, it´s actually 6 cams but one cam is used
only a few seconds in "Can´t you hear me knocking"

Now it´s been released by WLR-label as "The Final Bang"
It´s said to be 8 cams but I believe the just copied my DVD and squeezed
it onto one disc. Haven´t seen it myself yet.

I didnt get artwork w/my copy. It says Dime version in upper left corner and does not include the rollingstones.com stuff even though its on the menu. Doesnt bother me cause it was free but do you think maybe it was left off because of copyright infringement?

Yeah, don't buy or sell all the private DVDs.
Filmed the Stones concertS is only passion, not a dirty commercial job.

Wow - pretty impressed. I got the Madison Square Sept 05 one which is a two camera job. A 6 or 8 cam job takes some organising. I wish they'd captured the middle night as that featured a stun ning version of Midnight Rambler.

Anyway, here's a pic I took that night.
