as we did downstairs.
It was completely rammed- i've not seen it so busy at the Empire for quite a while. It felt almost as though they had sold too many tickets.
There were quite afew of the SAL 'one night only' t-shirts in attendance, and Buddy had the crowd in the palm of his hand throughout.
His traditional 'walkthrough', never fails to suprise and thrill the audience...he was great.

Pauly - if you have time today, could you possibly post your photos?

Sorry to all the folks I was intending to have a post-show beer with (Sara, Adrian, David, Chris, Julia, Nick), but I'm away to work today and it's "panic stations/get my s**t together" time as per usual, that's why I legged it home pretty much immediately.

WHAT a privilege to have seen/heard that !! To anyone out there wavering ... should I/shouldn't I ??? Do not waver, go see Mr Buddy Guy immediately. Extraordinary.

The band were tight and played well with poise and control. Right at the top of the room when they were playing really quietly I could Buddy talking off the mic quite clearly. Buddy went down a storm and the atmosphere was electric.

Buddy is in birmingham friday night. Was going to see SAL again at the imax, but could be tempted to see buddy now.

It will be one of those cases in which i will regret it, if i dont go and i have done that a few times.

Reckons i will be taking a walk over to the box office dinnertime.

What an evening of mighty fine music! Buddy sure knows how to connect with his audience. Loved his whole style and rapport - great to see a musician really enjoying himself on stage........and on the ground floor and on the staircase and in the Circle......

You so need to go and see Buddy. Probably one the best gigs ever.

Buddy's a great showman, for me I wish he played more of his guitar than playing to the crowd.
