'Boots' Attended.
Posted by: ROLLINGSTONE ()

There's no serious reason to this just a bit of fun and to satisfy my curiousity about something. I got to thinking about boots of concerts I'd actually been to then wondered how many other people may have. I'll start it off with a pathetic 3.

Thinking of Stones gigs only and sorry there's no prize for person with the most.eye rolling smiley

Yeah, I have a tape of about every show I ever went to and thats a bunch since 75.....took awhile to get Baltimore 06, but that surfaces from a Who List! Ha, gotta love those Who Freaks...more interesting is the shows you attended that got released officially....Hampton 81, MSG 2003, etc.

Stones: Houston 89,Ft.Worth 97, Houston 98 (both shows), Memphis 99, Houston 03, Houston 05, and Austin 06 have all been released out there somewhere

with trading and taping all the shows could be available sooner or later

Will Lisbon 2007 be the missing show from European ABB Tour, like Lisbon 1990 was from the Urban Jungle Tour....?

I am really sad because it was a hell of a show, with No Expectations played live in a stadium for the first time, and it is my Hometown!!

I still do NOT have :
Stade de France 2006
Milano 2007
Istanbul 1998

I guess there are several versions of Milano, but still.

I also heard about a complete recording of Lyon 2007, but I only have the one with the last song cut

Istanbul exists as a partial SBD recording by VGP. If somebody has a complete AUD of it, I'd be glad to put a hand on it.

Any help would be welcome, of course !

Gazza, you´re right!

Let´s see what I can find...

Only taped two myself:
Wembley 73 early show - yes, THAT one which surfaced last year, and Knebworth 76.

But got boots of other shows I attended:
Wembley 82 - DVD
Brixton 95 DVD
Shepherd's Bush 99 - DVD and CD
MSG Sept 2005

After a while I decided it was more important to enjoy the show than worry about the taping. And as most shows are taped these days I can usually find a recording.

I have a boot from all of the shows I attended, including some soundboards, but am missing the Baltimore '06 and D.C. '89 first show boot, if it even exists. Anyone can help with the Baltimore boot, I would be much obliged.

Best boots from shows I attended: NYC '03 HBO Soundboard, Philly '99 Soundboard, Philly '81, soundboard, and best audience boot along with probably the best show from set list length and performance, Opening night in Philly '89.

All but Chicago 2006-premier of "She was Hot". I don't think that will ever exist.

11/8/69, 2nd; 6/11/72, 2nd; 1/18/73 are the ones I collected and treasure. When I received the '69 show some 28+ years after the fact I doubt if I ever listened to anything as closely as that one. It was thrilling to hear, again! It was right after I heard Brussels for the first time. My musical listening world expanded and off I went in search of more boots.

Every show except Munich, June 2, 1990. I only spotted this on dime recently, uploaded by a private taper.

But today it's an easy task to find a bootleg of every show you attended. Must be much more exciting if you watched shows back in "those days".

Is there an internet shop that sells bootleg concert CDs? I don't have the necessary computer equipment to download material and have not been able to find a good site.

Cleveland '75. God awful recording.
Cleveland '78. God awful recording of a god awful show.
Pontiac '81. Stunning s/b that only recently surfaced. Got it here!
Wisconsin Flat '89. Some people like it by I find it to be unlistenable.
East Lansing '94. Best Stones show I ever saw. Was only ever able to find a very poor audience recording.
Chicago '97 Opener, the common incomplete soundboard.
Detroit '99. Taped it myself.
DC '99. Got two over saturated audies from some a-hole in Florida who charged too much, took too long and was a jerk about it.
Detroit '02. Excellent audie. Found it at a record swap meet.
Chicago '02. Unnecessary and unlistenable.
Sars-stock '03. Got the DVD shortly after. Found the s/t here but never bothered to download it all.
Chicago '05. Tough listen.
DC '05. Tried taping it myself but too windy.
Slane '07. Got it here and it's a fantastic audie.

I'd never really thought of this. Thank you for a pleasant exercise.

Got 7 of the 8 show's I've attended between '81 and ABB on CD; 5 of those on DVD.

Speaking of which, the lone show I'm missing both a CD or DVD of is St. Louis '81. It's one of the few '81 shows yet to appear. Anyone know of a copy floating around anywhere???

I have every show I've attended, except Bergen 2006. Anyone seen this show in circulation?

both Largo 75-shows circulate. But what about Auburn 69 - you wrote "they did only one" ? That's new to me, cann you tell a bit more about it?

the only show I've been to that I don't have is Rio de Janeiro 02/02/1995 - I already burried all hopes...
