A good friend of mine plays the guitar as left-handed... and the bass as right-handed!

I think in the old days children at school were taught to write righthanded no matter what. I guess it had something to do with the old fountain-pens or something. So I guess James Marshall Hendrix just learned to write righthanded.

My Mum is a similar age and she is left handed but was taught to write right handed. She now writes left handed.

No not at all (how would you fake such a thing?) I would have never thought that they would be opposites. From the video he seems to sign right-handed with ease. We all know how easily he handles a guitar as a lefty.

My left handed dad had to learn to write right handed as all the school desks were right handed and the teachers told him it was more proper.

I thought I read somewhere that centuries ago it was thought that left-handed people were believed to be evil. Anyone else know anything about that?

My Mother was born in 1915 as left handed as it was not aloud back then she was learned to write right handed so ended up left and right handed.

The same happend to my oldest brother only he insist to write left handed.

Thats right.MInd ya, my textile craft teacher (do not RIP!)
forced me to cut with the right-handed's scissors since I was right handed.
And I use the "right" (most often: left-handed player's ~) ice hockey sticks
