I'm not near Chicago, LQ...

But next time you're in NYC, if I'm driving up 8th Avenue...
I'll honk the car horn if you stand outside of MSG.

Little Queenie! If only I'd known.....we could have planned this field trip
for Sunday 1/13......but it's probably closed on Sundays. Dang.

My wife went to Chicago yesterday (1/13) to see WICKED with her brother.
I would have traveled with her (from Milwaukee) and gone to Chess Studios...
...but instead I stayed home...got some work done...and watched the football games.

Have you done the tour yet? Might be in Chicago 1/26 or 27.
I'll keep you posted.

I went to 2120 when I was in Chicago for Crossroads but it was closed at the time. Would love a chance to get inside. Maybe if your field trip can be timed with a travel-worthy concert, you'd get some out-of-towners and also warrant a special tour - especially if the Stones don't play the US or Canada for SAL. Any idea if there is anything coming up in Chicago in April / May / June? Would also give Rockman a chance to pack, and LQ some time to train the kittens to attack sleepwalkers. (Maybe make him smear catnip on his toes when he hits the couch - that would set the little critters onto him if he gets too close.)

I will be in Chicago in May for work, I go every year and this is one thing I have always wanted to do when I am there.. and go to Wrigley Field for a game. Cubs are never playing at home when I'm out there.

Hey Queenie, dahling, if this was spring or summer, I might be able to go!
Maybe another field trip or show somewhere in the area could be bubbling in the works!! How about the film premiere at an IMax in Chicago?

Might be good timing to schedule it around the Chicago Blues Fest (weekend of June 5th). Johnny Winter & James Cotton will be playing on day 1. And Legends should be relocated and open by then. A lot of happenings to fill up a weekend!

I love your idea, JJFlash: IMax and Chess if everyone could
wait another two plus months...

Blues Fest, another possibility.

the imax premier and blues fest sound like good candidates. are we to assume the imax premier will be on a different date than NY? 'cos i've had some ideas about going to NY then.

plexi, you can come on the field trip too, but this will be a group date!
