I wouldnt necessarily assume that they'll be PLAYING shows in NYC that same week. Doubt it'll be EARLIER than that, however

maybe 1 show for shine a light but more likely just talk show appearances.no other touring in 2008 for the stones. oh well....

They're not going to go to the bother of rehearsing just to play one show.

They'll play a few US shows in the spring, after they come back from Asia.

June would be nice for the USA! I'm starting a new job and they are totally unaware that when the Stones are here, I disappear!! I want to break them in easy!

Thanks a lot JJ FLASH, don't fret, nothing interferes with our Boys! They're a labor of love, and I can't really call THEM a job. The thing that's a lot of work is earning the extra money to go to the multiple shows. I'm in sales so I'll start to crank it up afew levels as it nears show time! Happy New Year All!

If they leave it to June, they'll be promoting the DVD release, not the theatre release.

........my take............after listening to Keith being interviewed on Sirius by Steve Jordan last week........ it sounded like the Stones were going dormant and that Keith was starting to look forward towards Wino projects.......

how's this for the first rumor? a friend who sees them regularly heard today from his friend that they'll play in france next week! not worth starting a thread, but worth a mention, i think. just in case it happens.

It's not necessarily new york, though. But it is in April - after Asia. I've heard "10-15 US shows in major cities".

well, New york would qualify as a 'major city', I would think, but yep, major markets is what the talk is...maybe around 15-20 shows is what I had heard, but we'll see.

Steve Jordam was the first to suggest some kind of Wino's project was forthcoming; He was listening to old tapes from previous sessions and couldn't beleive how much material was left over and that what was left was as good as stuff that was previously released...... just not finished......granted, it sounded cliche and a little bit like a pushy salesman but....then..... Keith added that he was going to look at left over/passed over bits from the ABB sesssions and that there was enough material that could be used towards a Wino's project. There was no doubt that both were suggesting that a Wino's project was more than just a pipedream....and that it would be sooner rather than later.....they never came out however with dates etc.
