Check this out ... a cool £1,750 being asked for the "password" enabling you to buy your two tickets. Interesting to see what the "conditions" of sale are though, namely all this stuff ...

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

--------------------------------------------------

You have 72 hours to book and pay for your tickets.

Your individual passcode can only be used once and will be invalid after the deadline as mentioned above has passed.

NO tickets will be mailed out. All concert goers must pick up their tickets and non-transferable wristbands in advance of the show at the O2 Arena between 10am and 6pm on Sunday 25th November and between 10am and 6pm on Monday 26th November. To avoid long queues on the day of the show you are strongly urged to pick up your tickets and wristbands on Sunday 25th November or arrive as early as possible on Monday 26th November, please be aware that ticket collection will be busy at peak times and you should anticipate having to wait to be served.
To collect the tickets each original purchaser and the person accompanying them to the show must be present in order to pick up the tickets and wristbands. NO exceptions.

Each original purchaser must provide the actual credit card used for the purchase along with valid state-issued PHOTO ID in order to receive the tickets and non-transferable wristbands. All wristbands will be fitted immediately. There will be no exceptions to the above, no name changes or letters of authorisation will be accepted under any circumstances. On the night of the show EVERYONE will be required to present BOTH the WRISTBAND and TICKET for entrance to the show. Wristbands must NOT be removed or tampered with prior to entering the show or your access will be refused. Original ticketholders must bring photo ID to the show as they may be required to present it upon entry to the venue. The original conditions of sale will be enforced. These tickets are non-transferable and any resale will void the transaction without refund. If you book the tickets and are unable to attend we will refund the face value of the tickets (£125 per ticket) if you contact us before the 20th October 2007. No refunds will be accepted after this date.

No e-mail, I am sooooo depressed, my favourite band ever and the chances of me seeing them are so slim now. Gotta hold out for the second wave of the draw, from people who could not or did not take up their option on tickets.

Well £2000 winning bid , I think more likely auction wrecking as Zero fdbk.

The Name of the Card that pays + ID Passport must be the same and I imagine will have to tie in with the name of the person who originally signed up for the auction.

No paypal cover of any sort for passcodes as not tangible goods , I can see some people getting badly burnt on this.

No joy here, either...

You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

I met quite a few people outside the Beacon who had got burnt for that same reason - when asked at the door to verify the name of the ticket purchaser, they got turned away because they had no idea of the name.

Congrats to Dandelion :-) and commiserations to SD :-(

Mighty sorry for ya SD, know how much you adore Zep. I couldn't have made it anyway, so no great loss for me. Perhaps they'll think about doing something beyond this single show, in which case we'll all have another crack at 'em. Good luck with the secod wave of the draw, if that's in fact how it's gonna work.

Led Zeppelin reuinion: Ticket pass-codes being sold online

Organisers say they will tackle those selling codes online
2 hours ago
Fans who were successful in the recent ballot to buy tickets for the Led Zeppelin reunion gig have started selling their ticket-buying access in online auctions today (October 2).

Successful applicants were issued a pass-code, which provided them with access to a web-page where they could buy the £120 tickets.

Some of these pass-codes are now being sold on auction sites like eBay, with auctions closing at figures of around £500 for one pass-code.

However, a spokesman for promoter Harvey Goldsmith, who is organising the reunion concert, has explained to NME.COM they are tackling these touts head on.

Those who registered for tickets must provide a full name and address matching the details that they originally registered for the ballot - meaning that the pass-codes would only work for the original person who registered.

There is also a series of security questions that will have to be answered before pass-code holders can buy tickets.

Furthermore, ticket-holders will have to present valid ID to gain access to the venue in November.
