Joan Jett is another of my favorites, has she ever done a cover of a Stones song? She has done a lot of covers but for the life of me,l can't recall her doing any Stones, anyway she rocks has the style and the look.
Anyone else here likes her?

I saw Joan open for Aerosmith last weekend. She was great but not as good as Aero.

Good rock & roll.

I like her because my fellow Alan Merrill composed her well known tune.

I have her album "Hit List."

Dirty Deeds
Love Hurts
Pretty Vacant
Celluloid Heroes
Tush
Time Has Come Today
Up From The Skies
Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
Love Me Two Times
Roadrunner USA
and
Let It Bleed (Bonus track for Japan)

Actually, what is former Runaway bandmate Lita Ford being doing lately? I remember she had a hit song Kiss Me Deadly and then she had a duet with Ozzy.
Didn't Joan cover Crimson and Clover too?

We have had, repeatedly, continously, numerous Runaways-therads.
I welcome this as well.

I'm also a big fan of Joan. Only got to see her once though. Wish she would do some concerts around Germany. Seems a lot of American rockers like her don't come over to europe much. Don't know why, I see their CD's everywhere, so they must be popular.

I don't think any GUY will put a dime in Joans Jukebox.I loved her when I was younger. I've always loved dark haired walking attitudes.

A personal favorite is Joan's rendition of "Wild Thing" for the movie "Major League". When Charlie Sheen's character walks out of the bullpen and that song starts playing, it's a great moment.

I used to love her alot, when I was 17, in my room alone at night... but now as she's waaay past post-menopausal she doesn't cut it for me anymore...she looks all used up like one of Fonzie's throw-aways...

What about the idea/comment that she's the female Chuck Berry. That's not worth some kind of consideration?

Yeah, I dig her. I loved her cover of Gary Glitter's "Do You Wanna Touch".

- do you wanna touch me there, where, yeah, yeah -

Saw her open for the Who in Orlando 1982 (Lukester was there, maybe Shawn20 also). She played a nice rockin' "Star, Star". Never seen this on any releases though. I'm not a big enough fan to have her bootlegs.

Oh yeah, "Fake Friends" is great, among several!

Thought she was sooooo hot in the Runaways and early Heartbreakers - loved that long black hair and tight jumpsuits. The short, blonde (boy) cut doesn't do much for me (although I too am a lesbian)! winking smiley

Star Star is on her album Fetish (1999)

She and her band played a carnival/fair out here a few years back.
I could hear all the racket while I was in line for the fried dough and I could see the band when the ferris wheel took me up in the air. Cool.
