According to the Hachinohe Police Station in Aomori Prefecture of Japan, a Japanese woman in her 50s found and followed an account claiming to be Mick Jagger on Facebook around December last year. She commented on the account, and in January of this year, Yvonne Meyer, an account claiming to be his manager, replied to her, and they began communicating via Facebook messenger.
The fake manager introduced a membership service, saying, “We have a promotion for Mick's fans where Mick will invest and increase the money you send.“ After being offered two courses, the woman chose the “regular course,” which was less expensive, and as a result, she became a victim of an SNS-type rom-con in which she was cheated out of a total of 120,500 yen in cash and electronic money.
