2004 Chicago....Simon and Garfunkel's first reunion tour in years. Since I only knew a handful of songs...didn't think it was worth the ticket. Bought the tour DVD and was so absolutely upset I didn't go.

I usually see just about everything I want to. These stick out though. Two when I was living in the South and two after I moved out West:

Sinatra and Sammy Davis in Memphis
Keith and X Pensive Winos in Memphis

Joe Strummer in Hollywood
Stones at The Wiltern--should have called in sick for work.

but it never
really worked out.

I live in Toronto and regret very much that I didn’t take time off work and stand all night in the long queue on the street outside the Phoenix Theatre for the Stones in 2005. I read reports later that people who had driven great distances to do just that still ended up not getting a wristband/ticket so there was no guarantee I would have got one either but still, I should have tried.

Sold my tickets and regretted it ever since.

Altamont. My friends and I had flight reservations to fly from LA to SF, then somehow find our way out to the show. But . . .I couldn't get off from work. I had already taken a day off when I spent the night in line at the LA Forum to get tickets for the show there. I wish I would have been there, but in some ways I'm glad I wasn't, as I always found a way to be up in the front of concerts near the stage. I don't think I would have wanted to be in the middle of the Hell's Angels beatings and violence.

Stones june 25,90
I went to 22 and 23 shows.

25th the sun is shining (and the black market cannot sell all the tickets since the band added this 3rd show after the sales for the 2 first gigs. The price was cut in 2 by sellers on june 25th !)
and the show was again excellent. Fortunately the "singer and the fly" boot exists.

I had tickets to go see Primal Screamin 1991 or '92. My friend bagged at the last minute and I didn't want to go by myself. He didn't even repay me for the tickets!

I also had tickets for some big Eric Clapton show at Lincoln Center, probably '93/'94 ish. It was a benefit and tickets were about $1K each or something. I had a free ticket and was supposed to go with my boss, but work got busy so we blew it off to finish up a presentation.

I also had many opportunity to see Guns N Roses, and didn't want to go, as I hated that kind of music back then. I like it now though.

David Bowie Station to Station tour. All I had to do was ask for the night off from my part time job.... don't know what I was thinking.

Ray Brown Trio at the Jazz Bakery

Dolly Parton at HOB Sunset

I've caught EVERYBODY...but blew these 2 off...much to my dismay.

i went to this show. tickets were expensive so i showed up just before the show started and got a couple of seats for $25 each (more than i usually pay last minute).

my chance to see AC/DC was in '80 or '81 (must've been with Brian Johnson). i was 12 or 13 so i was pretty clueless - now regret it.

got great seats on a last second impulse - far exceeded expectations. art's lost much of his angelic voice, but paul and the CRACK band more than made up for that....plus, seeing the everly's was a major bonus.

I would make and post a very long list but I wouldn't be able to afford the necessary therapy involved afterward.

Now - both of those I would have regretted my whole life too. Actually it sent me straight to "Never Mind The Bollocks" ..now "Holidays in the Sun"

I'll never forget sitting in my friend's room listening to "Never Mind...." (Hmmm...incoming - was "Nevermind" by Nirvana a nod to Sex Pistols??) and his father bursting in yelling at us to turn the volume down. What a funny, old man he was - he must have been at least 44 (actually probably just in his late 30') -doh!

..and then in the spring of 1981 going to see Bruce Springsteen and totally missing out on the fact, that The Clash played a week before or after?? Damn! (Only got to see the Clash years later on the "Cut The Crap"-tour - what a nightmare.

See everyone...then you won't have a list.

So...who is seeing Tom Waits at the Bridge School this year?

Well, the most obvious one that comes to mind because it's most relevant right now,was the last E-Street Band Tour in 99. I didn't care much for The Rising,so I didn't get tickets. Then when the show rolled around I regretted it. Espicially, if I would have known they wouldn't tour for 8 years.
