At least you can say that joking , especially irony, at the net is kind of tricky because you can't see the face, eyes, expressions and so on.

I love Austin Powers, The Naked Gun, Cheech & Chong.

BTW, I enjoyed this joke recently.

A pirate walked into a bar and the bartender said,"Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened? You look terrible."
"What do you mean?" said the pirate, "I feel fine."
"What about the wooden leg? You didn't have that before."
"Well, we were in a battle and I got hit with a cannon ball, but I'm fine now".
"Well, OK, but what about that hook? What happened to your hand?"
"We were in another battle. I boarded a ship and got into a sword fight. My hand was cut off. I got fitted with a hook. I'm fine now, really."
"What about the eye patch?"
"Oh, one day we were at sea and a flock of birds flew over. I looked up and one of them dropped poop in my eye."
"You're kidding," said the bartender,"you couldn't lose an eye just from some bird poop?"
"It was my first day with the hook."

HAHAHAHA - to this day, whenever I hear someone pose a "what if" question, I always reply "What if Sparticus had wings"!. No one ever seems to know WTF I'm talking about though. It's sad when people do not recognize genius - heheheh.

I have written that Spartacus line on Tell Me a few times in the past as well. Can't help myself.

No - I am not joking with you! I absolutely think that stuff is funny. I don't really like when people get hurt though, I was just joking about that part. But something about when people fall, there's the initial expression of surprise then fear. It just cracks me up!

i think a lot of what slays me is the effort to maintain something like dignity while falling.
(i am not proud of this, mind you! but it cracks me up too.)

:-) At that point, it's best to pull a Pee Wee Herman and say very indignantly "I meant to do that", then walk away as quickly as you can.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I loved Kids in the Hall. I thought I saw most of their episodes, but I have never seen the Chicken Lady before! I feel so ashamed.

I loved the sketches where the two guys were sitting on their rug cutting out pictures of celebrities and talking about them, I think they were teenagers with braces.

Sometorontogirl, I had a crush on Bruce MacCullough (sp?)

They were unique. Especially Scott Thompson... If you know who Don Cherry is, you' love their appearance as guests on the same episode (years ago) of the short-loved Ralph Benmurgui show! Don tried to be a good sport about it, but... HOWL! It was nice to see Scott take him on...

(Don Cherry is a windbag hockey commentator and former coach of the Boston Bruins, does a spot called "Coaches Corner" on the Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts, who is known for his often offensive opinions about francophone and european players - hated Borje Salming and others, said they didn't fight enough ... so if you're offended by him, you're part of a VERY big club:

Nice one Erik! I never get tired of bush. I have a calendar with Bush quotes - I get a new one every day! He really comes out with some hilarious stuff.

I was going to start a thread, but I figured it would wind up getting me banned.

Yep - McKinney was Chicken Lady, Head Crushing Guy and... Blues Guy! My fave, too! When he went to Saturday Night Live later on, they were really having some bad years, and had him resurrect Chicken Lady there, I believe, but it was old Kids stuff...
