No, you aren't! My best concert I've ever seen was Dylan's concert in Mannheim, Germany this spring. Fantastic! The music I've heard that evening has been playing in my head since then :-)

Zappa Plays Zappa last Monday August 6, 2007.

ZPZ is Frank Z's son Dweezil with some of Frank's old bandmates and new ones playing his dad's music.

What a fantastic experience!

3 solid hours, exceptional musicians playing exceptionally well, very tight, on fire!!!

Worth checking out even if you do not know FZ's music. An incredibly rich, intricate musical tapestry.

Was every one a great show? ...of course not, maybe 10-15 were so-so...BUT, at least Jerry played his own guitar and not the guy behind the curtain winking smiley

Lately I've been really negative with what I hear from this tour, Keith is a joke of himself...IF something is wrong with him, he or someone should come out and say it...the fans would be more sympathetic.

I forgot to add Peter Tosh....one of the best shows I ever saw.

First with a bullet: Grateful Dead - Iowa State Fair Grounds - 74 - Noon to six - 3 sets with the wall of sound PA (check out 'round N round' on Archive.Org from this one), many other dead shows - all memorable

Springsteen in 1978 - 2000 seat hall - smoked - seen him a dozen times since, all good, but none close

Little Steven - KC Memorial Hall - 83 - What a character

Allman Bros - 72 - KC - No Duane, but Gary Oakley still onboard

Neville Bros - many times - never enough

Joe Ely - 'Texas Rolling Stones' (with Bobby Keys at one point), Ely provided early guitar gigs for: David Grissom, Charlie Sexton, Chris Duarte.

Hot Tuna in 1972

Lyle Lovett & Large Band -

I must have seen about 100 classic rock bands since my first show, Jimi Hendrix at the Hollywood Bowl on September 14, 1968. I have been playing guitar (and bass) for years, I use to be into the jamming thing like Cream. Anyway. I saw the Grateful Dead once, I STILL don't get it.

-The Who in Helsinki this summer, Pete is a force of nature still
-Jayhawks, 2000 (or was it -01? winking smiley) Tavastia, Helsinki, even Gary Louris rates this as one of their best gigs ever!
-Patti Smith Group, Huvilateltta, Helsinki, close to a religious experience
-Hanoi Rocks, January 1984, dark Finnish countryside, perfect tight but loose psychedelic madness
-Black Crowes, Ruisrock 1995, they jammed a lot, had a pretty interesting setlist, and Marc F**king Ford and Johnny Colt still in the band
