No contest. Paul McCartney. I've been to three of them on three different tours and loved every second of each one. Next best was The Dave Clark 5 who performed with the Young Rascals and Lou Christy in 1965.

I dont "like" or "dislike" nationalities. Since my pal & Nico both
are Germans, they probably reached a lingual community.
Questions on that? smiling smiley

ok baboon bro,
i hope, that is your true setting.
may be, it would be better, to formulate sometimes a lttle more neutrally.

Willy de Ville performing with only two other musicians in
the Fabrik in Hamburg.
It must be something like 6 years ago.
I didn't like Willy's music before - well I did not know
much - but the concert was incredible.
Great guy, great performer.

Most of my top 10 shows ever (INCLUDING the Stones) would be Springsteen shows.

the first one, at Wembley Arena in 1981 still remains to this day the best show I've ever been to by anyone. The 1988, 1999 and 2003 shows run it close, though. The 3 Seeger Sessions shows in Dublin last November were great too.

Of the 32 Dylan shows I've seen, most of the best ones have tended to take place in Glasgow for some reason. The Barrowland Ballroom gig in 2004 was maybe the tops.

Also really enjoyed the 2 Steve Earle & The Dukes shows I saw in Belfast & Glasgow in late 2004, and the Lucinda Williams one last November in Manchester.

Tom Waits at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin in 1987 was pretty special too.

u2's Zooropa show in Dublin also excellent. Jagger was there the same night (the Stones were recording in Dublin at the time)

Let's shake hand then, right? smiling smiley
I feel awful cause I didnt get the time to view more
of Germany during my Denmark-Brno-trip. Wonderful country
to drive in; I have been a regular Germany visitor since
1977, but mainly I've seen Berlin, Hamburg, Husum, Bremen,
Worpswede and Frankfurt, and to some extent Wolfsburg, Köln & München
plus few other places where I changed train etc during my interrail years.
Absolutely kindest environment on the trains (BRD, this before the
Berlin Wall were torn down). Would like to see the South with Schwarzwald,
Bayern and the Rhen valleys. Sure will too, the following years,
if I may live and keep my good health.

John Hiatt 1986 or 1987, in Utrecht: he had just released Bring The Family.
Jeff Buckley, 1994 or 1995, in Amsterdam or Paris, both were good.
Flaming Lips, 2003 in Amsterdam
King Sunny Adé, somewhere in the nineties, Tilburg during the Festival Mundial
I've been to many concerts, from punk rubbish in the early eighties to more relaxed Michael Franti shows this century and seen a lot of the big names, but most were just good, sometimes even great, but those 4 stand out as special.
