he played T&A on the last US tour, so its not that radical a choice
T&A was also rehearsed for the Euro leg. Theres no reports of them having tried 'Connection'
Sorry but I have access problems in this network. I can write on the web but have big problems updating the iorr web pages. Fighting my own tough security I assume... Have to dig up a different "safe" wire tomorrow. Lots to tell and lots to show. More tomorrow.
When taking a closer look at my pictures it does not look like there were that many "free viewers" at the back. So may be the total number of the crowd was more like 60,000. Have to check with the papers tomorrow. Anyway, it was a great show indeed and every single band and crew member put that extra concentration, focus and touch on it so that we got something unique tonight. And I liked the Las Vegas style ushers - security people in suit and tie all over the area. Inside. Makes you feel taken care of in a nice way. And these guys did they job that is for sure. Firm but still nice and no people in the isles or on the chairs, not until the last part of the show, when everything went very relaxed. As they arrived to the B-stage the fans were told to stay by their seats but right there when they came - the band - one of the guys in security said ok and there we were like a club show - nobody could keep these fans from the rails that is for sure. Miss You, IORR and SAT rocked very strong indeed. lots of fun. Lots of great playing. Mick must be totally exhausted. Good thing he has got quite a few days to rest his voice before the Helsinki show.
Not 100 but rather 40-50 thousand spectators. Great concert, great set list. Enjoyed T&A. Crowd not great from the beginning, but improved much starting from I'll Go Crazy, perfect later on.
What a nice reading from BV. The more it goes, the better they are. The photo of Keith reminds me of his great days. How savage he looks. Maybe they were boosted by this large audience obtained with reasonnable prices ( 30€ ) ===> which seems to be conclusive with the fact that This Band can attract huge audience provided they are on line with prices. Thanks BV for this Sunday morning report. It's sunny everywhere.
I can't get my pictures out on the net yet but I pasted a report on the main St P pages and the rest will be there later today. See the St Peterburg pages:
Just saw some tv bits from St.Petersburg... it was almost a total daylight show....blue sky til the encore...like in 1982. The place was awesome...it looked like they playd in front of the Peter Square in Rom..or Buckingham Palace..the Palace Square ist full of history..and its surrounded by wonderful oldfashioned buildings in the style of Louis XIV..so Versailles like...I am looking forward for the upcoming fotos from this gig The bands view from the stage was brillant...all around this historical buildings...it must have been the best place to perform on this tour tour.

It was not the only country with such low prices - I think FOS in Brno was around 40 euros, GA around 30.
For your information there is a MAJOR difference between Russia and the rest of Europe. Trash in the streets and taking a leak on the street. I did not see one singe piece of trash in the streets. When people are finishing their cigarette they close it out and throw it in the garbage bin. People do not trash at least not in St Petersburg. And they don't take a leak on the streets. I did not sense the common train station smell we do know from many big cities anywhere. If you walk down to an underground station in St Petersburg or Moscow then you will know you don't thash. They are like museums with art and no trash. There were some broken bottles in the streets but I assume those were thrown by tourists. Never seen a more clean city. Well Brno was very very clean too.
Yes. Ten toilets. Eight for the main queue sorted out like 4 male and 4 female. Then two more on the other side. Total of ten. If you drink vodka then you don't need so many toilets.
The fabulous vodka consumption is one of the reasons the average life length for a man is 59 in Russia. Think I prefer to drink beer and take a leak now and then...
