Gracias. Hey StonesTod - I hope all is well (you and I and ChrisM drank beer at Gordon Birsch before one of the PacBell shows a few years ago). Cheers.

it's abundantly available on a bunch of boots - should able to download or trade at all the usual online outlets.
it was recorded during the time kr spent holed up in toronto after his drug bust. he plays the honky-tonk piano and bk plays some tasty sax while kr croons...a decent listen, but nothing extraordinary
What's really interesting is if you compare this version to the "official" studio version that was released. I think this one (KR/Bobby Keys) is much better - it has a lot more soul. As I recall, the studio version has KR doing multiple backing vocals and it just doesn't work (in my opinion).
gmanp....Once again Jerry Lee does a lovely version of Rainbow on the Last Man Standing DVD...Has Chris Isaak as guest on track but the ole Killer's voice rules...Beautiful Stuff

I never knew there was an official release. Anyway, I don't think I'd trade my MP3 of this for any other version - it may not be the greatest performance ever recorded, but the "feel" is so powerful that it can make me cry - and I don't cry easily.

I'm not sure how official it was. I know I've got a copy somewhere and I also remember how disappointing it was. I didn't sound anything like the KR/BK jam. If I can find it I'll let you know.
