I don't know. There's been a lot of hype, but I hadn't heard anything she did until yesterday, a song called Rehab. It was pretty good, I'm going to check out the rest of her CD and see if it's any good.

Yeah, I've read about her falling down and throwing up and cancelling shows and whatnot. Apparently she is a bit of a drinker - that rehab song is about someone trying to get her to go and her telling them no. Sounds like my kind of girl!
How long is the duration of her show?? I know her debut album is less than 40 minutes. She comes here in October, but when she performs not so long than I'm not willing to pay 30 Euro for her ticket.
I bought "Back to Black" after checking out samples on Amazon, and I love it. Retro, but modern at the same time. A great singer with a lot of character in her voice.
...her new CD Back to Black is an instant classic..........the entire disc is excellent....no skipping at all.....do yourselves a favour and get it. It's that good.
I saw her at the Isle of Wight and she was second best act after the stones. Well worth going to see.
There is a small clip of her singing on stage with the stones on you tube - I'll try and find it and post the link for you. (Not her best performance mind - she didn't know the words, largely because she apparently refused to rehearse!)
Same here. I've been obsessed with Back to Black since I listened to it for the first time. Great album, great voices and catchy tunes. And oh yeah, what an attitude!
I am going to see her in Chicago and can't wait. I'm even breaking a vow to never see another show at the Aragon and will probably wait in line a good 4-5 hours to be up front and I am a 45 year old man! Back To Black is, IMHO, the best record to come out in mnay, many years. Listen to it closely, too...
rock and roll is not much of an element in her sound. I'm surprised she's gotten so huge. She's talented, but were people waiting for someone like this? I hadn't realized.

Interesting question cc...I've been fed up with the state of new music for some time and bought Back To Black on a whim after reading that Mick wanted to do a number with her live. Holy smokes...to me everything she sings sounds like she's lived it...a rare quality and its clear she writes her own material. Also, if you listen to Me And Mr. Jones, check out what she does with her voice....she uses it forcefully, irritatingly, playfully, soulfully, and with a combination of street and (real) diva...man, I cannot wait for her show!
