Oh come on! Is this doctor's orders? Keith is sick? Well at least he can play the guitar for two hours and also with ovations so if that is how it is when you are sick then I am looking forward to being sick.

thanks everybody for the reviews -
would someone be kind enough to explain where the FOS wristbands were given out:
at the main entrance, or at the FOS entrance?
the regular distribution, i mean - not the good Bjornulf's generosity. :E

"Dear Doctor" - how can you say things like that? A sick man would NOT be able to perform like he does. There's nothing wrong with Keith's playing. But if you expect him to copy what he did in the recording studios 35 years ago - forget it. He wants to play his own tunes in a different way, and he's still exploring the songs. Amateura and cover bands try to copy what he did in the old days. Keith's moved on.

Have you seen this video yet, WHY? Good sound quality.

And did I hear right, Keith, before his guitar solo, saying:

"Let's push it, f*cker!"?

"May the good Lord shine a light on you ..."

Thanks for the video link, Flowers.
so Keith was doing a little more improvising on the lyrics, allthough he didn't repeat the verse from Paris, which went like this:

Barcelona completed a hat trick of great shows in the last 7 days. Myself, BarRoomQueen, Beast, Paulywaul and LondonStone enjoyed this gig from just two people deep from the front rail - FOS wristbands being handed out by the entrance to the FOS area instead of being sold in advance. Not overly crowded, in fact a great party atmosphere as Barcelona has a reputation of creating. The late start, making it dark at the beginning of the show, was a nice contrast to Paris and Lyon so things were looking good before a note had been played!

A continuation of this report with photos to follow.....

Look, I am writing what concerns me, it gives me no pleasure. I love the Stones and, Keigh particularly, as much as you do. By coincidence, I am medical doctor, and I have consulted several senior & experienced colleagues. But there is no point in arguing about it. I would love to be wrong. I will shut up, I promise.

>> FOS wristbands being handed out by the entrance to the FOS area instead of being sold in advance. <<

thanks MOWAT - at Werchter there were also no FOS tickets,
but the FOS wristbands were given out at the main entrance, not the FOS entrance.
which some of our comrades here found out the hard way, by racing all the way to the FOS area and back.
so i got interested in how it's organized at the different venues where there are FOS areas but no FOS tickets.

Yep, it's kinda strange, because you would miss out altogether if you did not know that!

"let's push this fvcker out" or "up"? either way Keith sounds good and strong and like he's having a blast -
great to hear! rock on Keith!

I don't know if it's true, but I read somewhere that a bunch of medical doctor made a research on Keith's lifestyle, and according to it Keith should have died someting like 15 years ago...! I'm SO glad that this one tourned out as a story to make fun to!

Let's not forget Lisa and Bernard........

We caught up with Bernard after the show and he said that the best audiences on this leg of the tour so far were Isle of Wight and Barcelona. An interesting comment as personally I thought Lyon was a better show than Barcelona - but of course that was my view as a member of the audience rather than in reverse!

And Keith was on fire.....

....or was he on board ship acting out his pirate role...?!

Just back in Greece, from Barcelona...

Yes, the show was great. It was my first 2007 concert. Two - three days later it's no time for details, of course. The only thing i would like to say now is that my mind is full of nice pictures, nice impressions, nice snapshots. Some of them:

... Many young people, atleast in FOS, screaming and dancing all the time...

... the crowd gloryfying Ronnie and Keith...

... some compatriots (Greeks) i have met fortuitously. All of them fans, of course, except a guy (25 years old) who do post- graduate studies in Barcelona working at the same time as waiter. He loves basically hard rock and grunge. The guy told me: "The gig was magnificent. It could be perfect, if they were playing Paint It Black, Under My Thumb and Love Is Strong". You see? Casual fans have strong personal preferences too...

... The positive, even enthousiastic reviews and articls on the press. I mention two letterheads. AVUI wrote "Stones showed that they are the kings". LA VANGUARDIA wrote "The Stones and Barcelona made friends again". I suppose that's the meaning of the phrase "Los Stones hacen las paces con Barcelona", AM I RIGHT STONESJORDI ?
You know, local press seems to consider this 42,000 crowd (is the number reported) as satisfying, after the cancellation of the last year...

... myself meeting StonesJordi and his wife in "Glaciar"...

Thanks StonesJordi, thanks Barcelona, Thanks Stones!

What's the meaning of the word "perfection" in Barcelona?

The Stones performing "Midnight Rambler" and the fans having great time in Midnight Ramblas. And later...

(PS Yes, i love this city...)

Well, i said "no details", but just saw a comment on the review pages of IORR. "Ronnie: was he there?". That's 1,000% unfair coment IMO. Ronnie was steady from the first to the last minute. He did very good ADDIIONAL job when Keith was a bit "lost in space". During the first few songs.

Just saw what Martin B wrote:

"However, knowing that I risk the wrath of many, I
disagree with the claims that Keith was fine. He was not. He had good moments but also bad spells - he got completely lost in the second part of SFD, was unable to start BS, forgot about riffs in WHY and messed up the riffs in JJF and Satisfaction."

As i said, Keith was really "cold" in the beginning. On SFTD he was good, on JJF he was bursting! From what you say i have noticed only a short delay between the two first lines of BS. But as you understand making a version's start a bit slow isn't any "inability".
