from nick, t does it bug anyone else here that bitch is omitted fromt the austin show from the biggest bang dvd, i love the way that show is filmed and sounds and it would have been perfect if they left that song in there, i know we get the china version which is ok and of course it was an extra on four flicks, but this song has pretty much been a staple in the setlists for many tours, why do they toss it in like it is some rare song, i would even consider it an outside warhorse, you would think they would have at least put in on an offcial live cd by now and they did not perform it at the beacon so it probably won't show up on the soundtrack,it's a bitch
i think the steel wheels tokyo 90 version and the atlantic city 89 versions are great as well, to be honest any live bitch is great, damn them for not using the austin one

ive been curious, freeflintstones, who is this royal "we" you are always referring to?
anyway, yes, i love the ole bitch myself, but think it has pretty much sucked live since 1989. why are the HORNS playing the main riff?
*and i'm just like that bird - singing just for you*
Yes, the Down Under '73 versions are vicious. I also like the L&G version where Taylor improvises a ZZ Top boogie rhythm. When in Texas....
Horns have long since replaced a guitar in carrying the rhythm on this and a number of other songs. Can Ronnie not play that riff for 4 minutes? In any event, the live version I saw in Oakland last November was IMO the most effective song of the night. Ronnie did what Taylor occasionally did...Let the bass and horns carry the rhythm and play a counter rhythm against Keith's lead. Ronnie did that night. It was not Great playing, but the song cooked, it was fun and it was effective.
