Youre right. From personal experience (and less of the 'old', you!
), the only Stones shows I'd have any interest in seeing are those in cities. IOW held no interest for me whatsoever - although Im glad theyre playing it so that a younger audience can get to see them - and the choice of where they were playing the Dutch show made it an easy decision to go elsewhere instead.
Those type of festival shows are fine if youre pricing the show to an audience that is into that sort of event. Pricing it for an older audience and then expecting them to trek out to a field miles from anywhere is idiotic .
